@Panthers de la Floride

Habs fan here. Good game. Panthers could win it all this year but, like many, I hate them. If they would get rid of the cheap shots and garbage after the whistle, I’d actually enjoy watching them. But they won’t…

  2. Very disappointed that Xhekaj didn't drop the mitts with SOMEONE in this one. Obviously would love to see him clean Tkachuk's clock dor sure.

  3. That Suzuki goal was crazy to me. I think it may have been a set play too.
Right after saint nick passes the goal line he looks up and registers his plan.
Telepathically sends the message (points up the ice subtly) to big save dave and he switches the ice to Xhekaj to draw in the far side Dman.

  4. When dude tripped Monty, i was like where's fuckin Xhekaj?!?! Then u see him skating, u could see the ref yelling NOOOOOOO!!!!! lolol. Then he goes on to check Gally in the face! I expected Xhekaj to get him at some point, maybe he knew the guy was too small. I HATE seeing out goalie get run over like that, there should have been more than Xhekaj after dude… We need 7 more Suzukis, and 6 more Xhekaj's and we r good to go!!

  5. Suzuki gets better each season like a clockwork man, it's awesome. He's basically a PPG player, something that we didn't have for… I don't remember. He also had something like 12 goals in his last 10 games, which is something like top 3 in the league in the same time frame for goals.
Let's remember that they are either dead last or last for the number of PP they get per games, so it's very very impressive how our guys are doing on 5v5.

Monty is showing that he's a starter in the NHL. Imho he should be a 1A or 1B in a 60/40% goalie tandem when we'll compete (it can be with fowler, or quite a few others in our system, let's be patient). Something like the duo the Bruins had a number of years ago, know what I mean?

I was curious about Newhook. Even with the, let's be honest here, less than ideal linemates, the guy is still in pace for a 50 points season was he not injured. AND not only the injury but also completely new team in general, and still he's producing OK. VERY encouraging for a player sign for less than 3M per year on the cap, that can play both wing and center. With the return of our big boy in the near future (if the injuries stop… second of the season, come on…), plus everyone on the middle/bottom 6 that we already have in our system, and suddenly we can see the building blocks of a competing team in the horizon. If you have a top 6 of our current first line plus Dach + Newhook + (e.g. Lindstrom/2024 first habs overall pick). We have great 3rd line players coming up plus Roy who's getting better, and definitely choices for the 4rth line.
The goalies situation is looking good.
The ever essencial combinaison of Dmen needed for playoffs success is already within our system Imho

Also Hughes says he'll be ready to "overpay" in free agency or other for one or two players, to sign long-term. It's ON TOP of everything else!

BTW, Roy with very very limited time and playing with trash still got like 6 points in 15 games in his very first NHL stint; It's not bad, not bad at all.

I still think that we need to be in a position to be a top 3 overall forward in the 2024 draft. We unfortunately need to tank and AT LEAST not loosing ground with the lottery to have a shot at picking one. Imho Cayden would be natural fit and unlike many other he could, if ready, start with the Habs in the NHL as soon as FIRST GAME next season guys :D. Not a small thing if we want our pick to get coached by MSL and also find a fit within our developing core.

Honestly, we need to make some room before the TDL and during the summer. At least a D and Allen before the TDL, also whatshisname on the 4rth line that has an expiring contract and is a valuable part of playoff success (nothing notable in return for us, but still, even a 5th would be ok). Allen it will depend if Hughes is willing to retain salary that will still go on next year, which might not be a good idea. As for the D we need to trade, it all depend on which one obviously. Chewy might be more valuable than I thought. Kova too might be an cheap option for an effective depth, or a youngling.

OH, forgot ARMIA! THE untradable dude might ACTUALLY be tradable right now! I'd just on ANYTHING offered honestly, no second thoughts lol 😛 He has been better than Andy, which I feel sick to even write lolol.

  6. 3:27 That little tap from 5'8 175lbs Caufield takes down 6'0 200lbs Montour…………ya sure ref.
I hope Montour has a nice spot picked out for his Academy Award.

  7. The odds are stacked against all Canadian teams due to the Bettman zebras who call everything and anything against Canadian teams and turn a blind eye to most infractions made by the American teams IMO.

  8. Tkachuk would never drop the gloves with a tough guy like arber, his brother Brady on the other hand would.

  9. Funny that there’s a rivalry of sorts here. Panthers are my favorite team but I follow the Habs as a second team lol

  10. That Gally tantrum clip needs to go on your intro next to the hyperventilating Pezzeta, it's too good 🤣

  11. Yeah what was that? Yes Montembault should be mad. The whole team should be mad.

  12. That is how it seems to go all the time. Panthers flop around, officials know they are embellishing on a good amount of them but they still have to reward that. God forbid you actually call the dive but I guess that can only happen to a player in a habs jersey.

  13. Thx for the vid. Sammy boi getting knocked over like a bowling pin was definitely the HON along with Gally whining like a little baby and Sammy boi acting like a sore loser after the winning goal was scored, lol.

  14. Without a word of a lie…

That ref literally saved Rodriguez's life last night because if he wasn't there and Arber got his mitts on him,
there wouldn't have been anything left of him but a fucking wet spot on the ice. He woulda killed him.

  15. We should be grateful. That ref saved a life out there on the ice. To stand like that in front of a sherrif, that takes some courage

  16. Suzukis back must hurt so much from all the carrying he’s been doing for the past few weeks
