On one hand maybe Conroy screwed it up
On the other hand maybe the Devils are responsible for botching the trade
And on the third hand, maybe Jacob Markstrom is paid $6M/year and should expect this as a part of being a professional athlete playing a team sport. And that if a trade does happen, he's being sent to a team where he has a chance to win. Plenty of players (e.g. the players on the other end of the trade) can't say that.
