Did we already touch on Hanley to Calgary through waiver claim?
We can probably ship pods plus a pick for guentzel, but if we pull the trigger, then it automatically means either lindholm or guentzel will walk to free agency cuz there’s no money to keep both.
Flipping lindholm for guentz would be bloody gold
As a bolts fan I would love to see Maroon back in Tampa next year.
Im all for flipping lindholm. Hes been really good on faceoffs but pretty innefective from there on out
This could get wild!
Guerin is delusional if he thinks this team can compete for anything.
I don't think it's just that Lindholm isn't working out. I think it's also that they acquired him as a backup plan in case they couldn't keep Patterson. But with him signing his extension, they're more secure in the middle, so Lindholm isn't as necessary as if they had needed to trade Petterson

The Canucks are in buy mode like crazy….and all to lose in round 1
completely predictable
Washington is in the mix, but their last 11 games in March are a really tough schedule. As a Capitals fan, I'm happy that we're trading off assets. I expect us to improve upon last year's 80 points, but chances are low of getting the 95ish necessary to make the playoffs, and if we do sneak into the playoffs, facing the Panthers, Rangers, or Canes isn't an easy matchup.
I am disappointed that Mantha was traded to the Western Conference. I wanted him to go to a team that will face Florida in the playoffs, so that he could chase Cousins around while Cousins runs away like a coward. A Vegas vs Florida matchup in the finals is a possibility, but I would have been especially happy to see him return to Detroit and then for Detroit to face Florida in the opening round.
Breaking news!
Depending on how a potential Lindholm trade works out, Calgary could really make off like bandits on that deal.
No way Jake goes to VAN
Boston can get the best out of Lindholm
Lindholm I see only getting moved on a sign and trade but will be interesting
My suspicion is that Lindholm is a player that got the "Gaudreau Bump" a rare version of the "Backlund Bump", very good years while Johnny was in Calgary but just hasn't worked out as well without him, seems like he might be missing Johnny in Vancouver as well.
Good trade for Washington
You should do a Dave MCliwain career video, played for 4 teams during early 90s Jets Islanders Sabres and Leafs
As a Minnesota fan, I assure you we do NOT have a plan! Go Wild!
Lindholm was always destined for Boston. Perfect fit for them. They’ll probably sign him for less than anywhere else
I dunno if Mantha really moves the needle for Vegas with his inconsistency, but not having to give up any players for him isn't too bad… Can never have too much depth, I suppose.
Like the Henderson Silver Knights jersey. The way our Golden Knights have been playing lately it probably wouldn’t hurt to call up all the AHL players and send all the VGK down to the minors. Golden Knights have been playing horrible hockey which has dropped them to 4th place in the Pacific Division.
I like Lindholm when he's at his best but I did struggle with the idea of fitting him into the lineup of the Canucks.
0 shot Vancouver gets Guentzel. Won't happen.
Seems odd that Vancouver would move on from Lindholm at the point in the season where Myers contract is now moveable. Unless Boston is really making a good offer, possibly a sign and trade?
A quick turnaround I remember was when the Caps picked up Rod Seiling on waivers from the Rangers and traded him to Toronto two days later, but in the one day Seiling happened to be in Washington they stuck him in a game. The 1970's Caps were desperate for any live bodies, so they weren't going to pass up using a guy even if they knew he was just passing through.
