    There are no trades in chel. Chel is actually a game mode where you play your single player and play games with others playing their single player. The mode where you make trades is called nhl franchise mode 🙂

    I just hope they actually do something to improve at center or top 6 at least.Seems like every deadline we hear all these rumors about the Avs doing something quasi significant,you guys analyze all these guys…& we make some minor move that barely matters like last yr-or even hurt the team a little-like Soderburg/Nemeth in 2021. The only exception was 2022 when they pleasantly surprised me.(what happened that year again?)

    Meanwhile almost every other major west contender has got at least somewhat better-Vegas just got Mantha. Avs organization has been elite for 6-7 yrs.But not at the deadline-last yr I kinda understood with the insane injuries,& fact they'd just won in 2022.Didnt seem like it was our year with basically historic injuries by a defending champ. But another deadline of basically inaction,& overanalysis by paralysis just won't be good enough.

    Although Nashvilles run has made it no longer a lock we finish top 3 in the division-I still believe we are lucky to be in the central. As much respect as I have for Dallas,WPG,& Nashville-id rather play any of those teams than Vegas,Vancouver,Edmonton or even LA.Assuming you do finish top 3-u wouldn't face any of those top pacific teams til WCF. I think we have a great shot to win 2 rounds-then who knows? Anything can happen,& you'd have the experience edge on LA,Edmonton,& especially Vancouver. To only have to beat 1 of those to reach the Finals-is a lucky break in my mind-& none of them til WCF.

    But we do need a lil upgrade at center.You don't need an all star or blockbuster trade-Id be good with Weinberg.But ya gotta do something-im tired of hearing bout all the guys we ALMOST got or were in on.Make it fucking happen Mcfarland-just like Pierre used to do.He wasn't always right,& it didn't always work out.And I get it was much easier in a no cap era.But everybody else has got better-with a few exceptions-& we are 1 of the exceptions like usual. Obviously that roster was the deepest they've had-but I don't think it's coincidence this current core/organization has only got out of 2nd round-the year they were quasi aggressive. Of course improving the roster is the main thing-but also the message it sends to the rest of the team,& how it often energizes a team when the organization PROVES they believe in them.

    Stop worrying so much bout 2028 or whatever-your window is now. And teams like Nashville,Minny(out of cap hell next yr i believe),St Louis,Chicago,& Arizona have young talent-theyll be better in a few yrs.Even any 1st round pick we loathe to trade so much will be a late pick,& likely won't contribute for 3-5yrs-if they even can play.Whos knows if Mckinnon,Rantanen,Toewes will be here then,or at what level. We don't know the future-but know what we have now.Stop wasting this period in time where you have 3 of the top 15 players on earth,& 2 other fringe allstars.(Nuke,& Toewes) OK waste is too strong cuz they have won a Cup-but the organization needs to do their job & get something done-even if you slightly overpay in assets.

    I hate Vegas & they go too far the other way-but at least they are always in it to win THIS YEAR-id much rather their approach than ours which sometimes seems scared to make a mistake. And they always send a message to their players that they'll do whatever it takes to win NOW-whether it works or not.But 1 Cup,2 Finals,& 4 conference finals in 6 yrs I think it is-its clearly worked,& they've had signigantly more success in the playoffs than we have had.

    Man, I’m just not ready to part with Byram just yet. He had a rough year, but he’s got top pairing potential, and I’d hate to see him go somewhere else and become a stud. He’s just 22.
