Okay fitzy. Youre loosin the fanbase

  2. Jballzs13

Hard to have a good year when you play 8 minutes a game with 4th liners.

  3. rjlud02

« This is on all us… just kidding it’s all on this lazy ass 20 year old piece of shit who killed Papa Lindy. »

  4. devils744

While I don’t think he will be great, you need to see what he can do these last few weeks in a top line role or just trade him already which to get something besides him being a throwaway in a trade you have to play him.

Him playing with slugs or playing 5 minutes a game has accomplished nothing all season and is a waste of everybody’s time.

  5. 1defense

at least we know it wasn’t Lindy now

  6. DevilJacket2000

This whole situation is on Fitzgerald. From drafting him in the first place, for developing him poorly, and likely selling him low.

  7. Saw_Doctor

I thought Holtz played pretty well last night. Hard to produce on a line with Big Mac, who also actually played better than I thought he would.

  8. klitchell

Anyone have the full text of the article, pretty sure that’s not what he said

  9. BlueBeagle8

I continue to find it fascinating that we have the GM and two coaches saying « this guy’s play away from the puck is not good enough, » and the fanbase response is almost universally « nuh-uh. »

  10. yo_coiley

He’s the kind of guy that needs to play top 6 minutes, not a grinder by any stretch. It’s just not a fit on the fourth line but I gotta think there’s more there, he has a lot of points for his ice time

  11. sandornaut

Fitzy doesn’t watch the game very well.

  12. Worth_Average_9652

Holtzy I’m on my way to rescue you from the evil men hold on

  13. Zagg843

He is not wrong kid is pretty useless

  14. Fyredesigns

I can’t wait until we trade him and he Inevitably explodes into a super star player only to shove a hat trick down our throats later down the line 🤣

  15. Grimmer026

Can’t even shop him when you go public about it like this

  16. chickenKsadilla

This fan base: So many defensive turnovers! Hold people accountable! What are you stupid??

Also this fan base: I don’t care if he keeps making defensive mistakes! Play him anyway! What are you stupid??

  17. Fake-Death

That hasn’t stopped Toffoli and plenty of other snipers from finding success in this league

  18. lapelhero

Novo really knows how to make the headlines. This really isn’t a very fair reading of what he said. I listened to the conference and he ripped Holtz and the rest of the team but he was asked specifically about Holtz which is why his response centered around him.

  19. zufhioo

Typo: psychological ploy to get him going

  20. jerseydevil51

If Fitz wants to rip on Holtz, fine. But there are plenty of other players on this team that deserve being ripped into as well. Not sure what Holtz did to deserve the brunt of « players need to be held accountable » when there are at least 5 players I’d put before him on that list.

  21. AISwearengen

Fan bases love middling players that were picked high. He’s not very good.

  22. Ever_Raiden

So many people here are just completely missing the point. Fitz said Holtz can score. Producing and scoring isn’t his issue, it’s every part of his game besides scoring that’s his issue. He needs to work on forechecking and backchecking. He needs to go in and win board battles. Be harder on the puck. These are things he can do even when he’s only playing 8 minutes on the 4th line with bad teammates.

  23. Jassufakku

I sincerely think Holtz is mid. Hes supposed to be this budding star, but hes horrid away from the puck. Thats whats huge in the show. Fans are delusional about his value. Hes a 2nd round pick at max

  24. CryptoSpyro

Luke is very good but he acts like Bambi sometimes. I’d like to see him bulk up over the next few years and hopefully hell get his coordination fully together by then as well and be a top 5 defenceman in the league

  25. I think Tom Fitzgerald “has not had a good year.”
