    They need to make a concerted effort to dump Karlsson. Too much money for too little return. Horrible acquisition!

    Ideally, DOC and Puustinen start next season on the 3rd line (not the top 6) and then either progress further to a top 6 role (if they earn it via production) or are there to move up for injuries to the top 6. Would also like a younger 3C than Eller … who was fine this season, but his production is more in line with a 4C. And I think they need to look for more production from the 3rd line, as opposed to the "defense-only" philosophy they started this season with.

    If their 4th line is something like Bemstrom-Eller-Acciari (assuming they're still here), that is at least a better start than going with something like Harkins-Eller-Bemstrom on the 3rd line, then having some really bad Nieto-Acciari-new Jeff Carter old guy LOL on the 4th line. It is all about Dubas' philosophy at filling out the roster, and hopefully he takes a very different approach than last summer.

    I’m surprised people want to dump Rakell. Since his return from injury he’s pacing at a similar point rate as he was last year when he scored 60 (28 goals). His goal numbers are down slightly but since his return over 82 games he would have about 23 goals and 35 assists. He just had an awful start and the whole team has been piss poor the last 4 or 5. I’d keep Rakell. Smith and Graves can go.

    Penguins are done this season, I'll be surprised if they win another game. Guentzel trade was the worst trade I have seen this organization make, since they got rid of Jagr but that was unavoidable due to economic constraints. This trade still makes zero sense to me… trade away one of your best players that doesn't want to leave for an overpriced third liner. I won't blame Sid for leaving. Get told by management you're going to be a contender… and then watch them get rid of your best Winger… kind of confusing mixed message there. I have no interest in watching the rest of this season….. watch them skate around like Zombies…not liking the Dubas era so far. I was excited when he came here… 9 months later. Not so much.😑👎

    Changes are definitely coming this offseason, you are going to see a lot of players on this team not be back next season:

    As far as the rest of the season what are the chances that you think both Sam Poulin Vasily Ponomarev will both get a chance up here before the season ends? The more I read on Ponomarev, I like what I see. While I don't think he will be the next version of Evgeni Malkin, I do think he can be a good depth forward that has the capability to play well a both ends of the ice. There was a lot of positive feedback I saw from Hurricanes fans on Ponomarev.

    Call them all up. Every prospect with even a sniff of making the team next year, as they are right now. If they are truly trying to get younger, and still compete, lets see what they got. Let Sully have 20 games with them and then everyone will know.

    i think the only way you shed that graves contract is if you attach one of those firsts to him, they also need another goalie jarry isnt it, its either a shut out or you have to score 6+ to win
