When Larkin is out this team literally can't find a W at a Wendy's in Wisconsin on a Wednesday. He isn't a "super star" but the Wings' record with vs. without him is astonishing. And although I'm not one of them, the trash-the-patch folks are 100% serious from what I can tell.

Team will get it together, starting tmrw.. that team player scuffle between Raymond and Chariot ( though seemed insignificant) will be what ignites the team.. Ben knew damn well what he was doing.. he's trying to light ai fire under the young players because they're the face and future.. and coming home tmrw will be a good time to turn it around.. this team will finally come out of its slump tmrw.. ALSO, LALONDE ISN'T THE GUY FOR THIS TEAM.. , he ight for now but not really for the future imo.. he can't motivate a motivational speaker, let alone his team.. any time the Wings have broken their streak, it's been because of self embarrassment of the players and they have decided as a collective to come out and not take no sh*t.. not cuz of Newsy.. I mean, c'mon, the guy doesn't even yell at his players for cryin out loud,🙄 he's too buddy- buddy with his guys and he's more of a teacher to me than a coach.. but we'll see how it goes..

I'm a big fan, but I think they're cooked. Their defensive flaws that they were getting away with earlier in the year are being exposed badly. They're being massively outshot. Unless they dig deep and find another gear, I don't see how they make the playoffs.

Chiarot has been good all year. He wasn't even as bad as Wings fans made him out to be last season. It's the entire team's defensive structure that falls apart so easily.

Larkin is the glue that keeps the team together. I mean Larkin is inspiring tbh, the man can take hit after hit, injury after injury, and still comeback and play mean hockey. He’s just really needed. Defence obviously needs work, goaltending is messy, I think Lyon is good not great, could benefit from some goalie trades, Lyon is being relied to heavy on, he’s a great backup, not sure if he can go the distance. That being said he’s played some amazing games, some of the best stops this year were made by him, but that doesn’t mean he should be your starting goaltender. People think Kane was a waste, I disagree, I just think they shouldn’t go out of their way to keep him on long term, if he wants to stay and retire with the wings I say great, but relying on him as one of core forwards is stupid, I like Kane, but I think one more injury and he’s out for good, but he’s good talent and good leadership as well as a morale boost, people tend to forget that when looking at a team, only seeing the stats, morale is a big deal and at the moment you can really see the low morale with the loss of the captain.
Detroit is in the position they are in because of the men in stripe shirts. When you have other teams like Carolina,Boston and Edmonton In solid playoff spots spending night after night on the PK vs PP Detroit looks better then they are.

I honestly think the main piece missing at the moment is coaching. Lalonde just isn't the guy to bring the wings back to glory. He's too soft
detroit has a chance make playoffs but the isles are hitting their stride under roy if isles get in they have chance make some real noise
