I love this team but I can’t with them right now. I keep hoping for a 2023 Panthers style turnaround but often it feels like 2021 Devils results.
At least baseball season is starting soon.
Jack needs to get healthy. One point a game injured is cool, but if he was healthy he’d be elite.
Someone else mentioned this in the post-game thread but it’s so baffling to see the uptick in unfounded theories about the Hughes brothers being locker room cancers. I get that everyone’s frustrated but the complete 180 on them in the span of a couple months is so weird to see
This is what a playoff team looks like when their second pairing doesn’t get re-signed, their top pairing gets hurt, they have suspicious goaltending, and a coach that didn’t properly adapt to team shortcomings.
The optimistic perspective is that they lost a lot of man games and were still in the hunt in March, and timo looks great.
As long as they learn from this next year should be a big bounce back. Reminds me of Tampa losing to Columbus in the playoffs in the first round. Sometimes you learn more from your failures.
Earlier in the season when we were losing to teams we should not have been losing to, we were controlling play and were sunk by bad luck, zero finish, bad goaltending, etc.
Now they just look utterly lifeless.
Getting blown out by the worst team in hockey… maybe in all of sports…
Anyone else a little concerned about MacDermid? If we brought him in to be a Rempe killer, he looked below par last night.
