I always find it hilarious when people treat the deadline like a shopping list forgetting that the salary cap exists. Being able to fill out the bottom 6 like this without sacrificing depth in other areas is a huge win for the Oilers. These two guys play the kind of game that will win you the minutes in the playoffs when Connor and Leon are on the bench, including on the PK.
media loves to see gm clear out the entire franchise future.. KH is clearing the cupboards for the next guy and fans in the future, but will be so nice if he can have a nice final month.. to his time here. The big issues are getting Bouche (& Cice, Nurse)… to not make errors & keep their concentration (avoid silly penalties etc)…. and get some goals/finishes (& work harder on pucks/corners) from McLeod/Foegele/Janmark. Erne/Hamblin/Lavoie already sitting… Perry replaces Gagne. Do these 2 now mean Holloway & Brown sit? Ryan is good. Maybe they help RNH & Kane do better?
