Allen stood on his head in all games he played in but he cannot stand on his head for 82 games next season!!! Another bad game by the Devils!! I dont know whats going to take them to make them shoot the puck instead of passing and dump the puck out of the D -zone after 1.5 min shifts instead of figure skating it out

Timo Meier has been so much better since Lindy Ruff got fired. Lindy Ruff never played him in the right position for success and I think that’s why he struggled for so long. He played right wing for the sharks and he was successful and should’ve always been playing right wing for the Devils. Why Lindy Ruff had been putting him on left wing all the time made no sense to me.
Great game. Always a good sign when you get outplayed in a period and come out with a lead. I wasnt a Jake Allen fan going in but hes been awesome. So has Kahkonen. The Buffalo game will be the real test cause thats the kind of game theyve lost all year.
I couldn’t believe that they didn’t challenge the Mathews goal. He was offsides. Video crew needs to do a better job. Good thing we scored a lot and saved a lot in this game.

Am I the only one who thinks that Mathews goal was so offside? Dude looked like he was 2 ft into the zone when he got the pass. Whatever though. The replay only takes it from when he’s already got the puck from what I saw.

Another amazing outing. It just goes to show what these guys can do. I'm not sure where they are heading right now but I will enjoy the ride while I can. Like they always say, everything resets come Playoff time. Look how far the Panthers went last year after just making the playoffs last year. While I wouldn't put any money on them wining the cup, stranger things have happened. Personally I can't say enough about Meier. The man is a beast and there are a lot of Devil fans out there that owe him an apology.
It seems that the Devils have learned how to show up against (Lack of a better word) better teams then themselves but they still can't figure out teams beneath them like the Ducks and the Sens… Go figure
Both Allen and Kahkonen are sporting their new helmets. They are so much better then the generic ones they started with. Then again those were better then the all white helmet Sean Burke wore when he started.

With Washington bearing down on 3rd and all the other teams allowing the Devils to not be mathematically eliminated, this season is going down even more as a Fitz waste.
While this team has work to do before being a Cup contender, you need to be a playoff team 1st. To not make it in this year is complete general managing incompetence.

I think Fitz needs to be fired. If we had a decent goalie at any time this season we easily make the playoffs. It’s painful to watch them play well all for nothing we could win every game coming in and still not make it

I'm thinking the big game goalie hunting is a farce. I know you said it the other day and I agree with you. I think it's going to be Allen and one of the guys from Utica. Wow what a watch that was! Despite getting bombarded, they weathered the storm and pushed off of Allen's efforts into goals of our own. His helmet looked nice but I really liked the black white and red stripes on his other helmet. They were SO clean. I hope he brings that back at some point minus the Montreal stripes on the back.

I don’t think keeping Toffoli would have been a big help. He was only top scorer because jack and timo were lacking. He is absolutely lazy in every other aspect of play. Not saying he’s absolutely terrible or anything. But he was definitely the guy on the front end we could afford losing.
45 shots against though, come on defense! 😫 This is what happens every time. We get great goaltending, stands on his head every night, gets heart, and he's never the same.
