1. A thing of note is how the Rangers have continued to win even with all of their injuries. First started with losing Chytil, then Fox and Igor. Then they lost Kakko. Then they lost Wheeler, and now Trouba, Lindgren, and Gustafsson. Most injuries I've seen from this team in a long time, but somehow they continue to win. That's because of how much depth they have, and had guys who could step up and fill that role. By playoffs they should be mostly healthy, so it will be exciting to see what this team does

  2. The Avs just lost to the very mediocre Habs. Ain't nothing dangerous about them, and I cheer for them.

  3. No such thing as an easy matchup in today’s playoffs. Every team on there is a threat to beat another. The gap between top seeds and lower seeds (in terms of overall quality) is minuscule.

  4. Ive been saying the jets have struggled since before the allstar break but people say "nah theyre a very good team"

  5. i think the path that some of the better teams have to go through could be the difference…home ice ad. and florida for instance is big and tough and even if you beat them its going to be taxing to get through…carolina same way ..not as tough but consistenly good..everythings going to have to be good to beat them..and their goalies are healthy this year..teams with two good goalies genearlly helps in playoff runs..

  6. I would love an analysis of the teams still fighting for a playoff spot. Who could get in and at who's expense?

  7. As a dallas fan … I don't think seeing Nashville would be good considering the last time we played we beat them 9-2 and that seemed to light a spark in them and they have been on an absoluten tear ever since… they did not like that at all.. colorado has whooped on us this year so they may be a bad out for us too. We will have to see what happens.

  8. Avs fan.. clearly Vegas is the matchup we want… I’d guess that Nash is going through a weird will/luck streak that the oilers managed not too long ago and will cool off at the right time (if your not them). We’ve gotta knock out the current champs or the hottest team in the league currently… I pick Vegas 100%. But there’s no easy match for us this year. I think we step up either way and 5 game it maybe 6 but would expect that 6th game to be at least a 2 goal dif win. Not sure why I’m thinking this way but I didn’t put the thoughts in my head…. Haha

  9. I would like to point out the Flyers are running a shell defense and have played Boston, the Rangers, Toronto, and both Tampa and Florida in the last 7 games. Brutal stretch that they managed to escape with 6 points.

  10. Winnipeg loves having Broissot (sp) back in the tandem…but there isn’t a chance he starts Game 1 unless Hellebuck is injured.

  11. As a Rangers fan, I’d say I don’t want to face Tampa. They don’t give up, and they have the experience.

  12. As a NYR fan, first round against WSH or PHI would be nice. Tampa is going to be a tough out

  13. I know the VGK have been mostly trending down since that 11-0-1 start they had, but lately, despite that bad 3rd period against Nashville, they’ve been a pretty good team, now 7-2-1 in their last 10. They also now have jumped back into 3rd place in the Pacific, so they seem to be getting their game together here very late in the season, despite still having absences in their lineup (been the story of the whole season)!

Vegas will be really interesting if they get in, how will they look against either Edmonton (which Vegas absolutely can beat), or if they’re a WC and they’re facing a Vancouver, a Dallas, or a Colorado team in R1… very easily could be a big upset if Vegas turns on that same playoff mode that they had last season.

  14. I don’t think the Avalanche are particularly dangerous. Good gameplan and execution will beat them. Sell out to stop the MacKinnon line and force the puck to Mittelstadt in the NZ, he’ll turn it over and his defensive responsibility in the NZ is porous. Absolute type of player that disappears in the playoffs. Skilled player, but not top end skill and baby poop soft. Second round exit at best.

  15. Freaking Kraken were in the race and then they lost 8 games in a row and the forgot how to score goals. 😬🫤

  16. The Canucks did absolutely nothing to add to their team before the trade deadline. So disappointing honestly considering the season they’re having. Meanwhile teams like Vegas, Carolina, Florida, Edmonton, Winnipeg and others – who have already been stacked for some years now – got a lot better. Makes no sense whatsoever.

  17. Imagine if the Capitals and Predators met in the final. Wouldn't that be quite the story, the Caps facing off against a GM that coached them to a cup.

  18. THG is on crack, Hella is clearly the starting goalie for the Jets in the playoffs, he is a Vezina favorite
