Wayne! I know that your first choice was Joel Quenneville, as he was also my first choice as well, but also keep in mind that Quenneville has not been reinstated to coach again by the NHL for that sexual abuse scandal that involved his assistant coaches while still head coach of the Chicago Blackhawks… Although Quenneville himself did not participate in any way, he nevertheless was involved in the cover up… When news broke about the abuse scandal cover up, Quenneville was banned from coaching by NHL commissioner Gary Bettman shortly following his resignation as Florida Panthers head coach… At any rate, I kind of suspected that Adams was going to bring Lindy back knowing that assistant coaches Matt Ellis, Mike Bales and Marty Wilford were retained after Granato was fired knowing full well that Lindy has prior history with Matt Ellis, Mike Bales and Marty Wilford… Therefore, it will seem most likely that Lindy would be the only choice for head coach who would end up retaining Ellis, Bales and Wilford as assistant coaches… Needless to say, now that it's all said and done, I really do feel that Lindy Ruff is the right person to bring the Sabres back to prosperity who truly cares about the Buffalo Sabres organization, his players and the Western, New York Community…. In my honest opinion, Lindy should have never been fired by the Sabres (Darcy Reiger) in 2013 to begin with… Welcome home, Lindy!

I never thought they should have let this guy go… but that was in the Murray ERA and shortly there after where we had literally clowns running the outfit and did everything in their power to tank..
If Adams does a proper job of retooling the bottom 6 this will help the team fall into a new identity. Could be a high flying, hard working, and hard to play against team.
Looking forward to hopefully going to my first NHL game next season to see Lindy whip this team into shape!

This team can't stay away from ex Sabres…. Botteril, Lafontaine, Ruff twice, Nolan twice. I don't dislike Ruff I just don't think he's Stanley Cup material and if our only goal is playoffs then what are we doing here?
To me this is like bringing back Marv Levy to coach the Bills. We can’t even attract a coach that actually won a Stanley Cup

i think this is a great move, hes been a winner everywhere hes gone, only reason devils kinda stunk last year was defensive injuries, and the AWFUL goaltending. his hockey tactics are amazing, and i think lindy can help this team make the next step. so much talent oozing, i know lindy can bring the best out of them.
All I can say is I’m exited or October and I’m glad we start off against the devils bc Lindy’s gonna want some revenge and Ik he’s gonna have them ready to start the year

I can't imagine what tuch is feeling like! Growing up watching ruff and the goatheads, and now he's going to live it.
Was probably my 3rd or 4th choice, but I think he makes us instantly better, so I'll take it.
