Yes please. Ever since they changed the format the playoffs havent been as exciting. The best series usually isnt the cup final which it should be.

The NBA had this discussion about a decade ago, the problem is that you’d have islanders rangers in the first round but you’d have LA vs Florida potentially and the travel would suck for those teams in a 7-game series, and then Florida or LA would have to travel to Canada potentially for the next round.

At that point there should be all teams playing each other an equal amount of gamaes and eliminate all divisions

First place team should get to pick their opponent (playoff teams obviously) . Why would a team like Vancouver want to play say Florida, when Edmonton is way less travel. Perhaps you pick a team that is full of injuries .

Its part of the game, you play most of your season against your conference. So rivalries are better, you might be the best in your conference but you have a hard time against the teaching that barely made the playoff… all teams have to deal with the travelling, prove yourself. Also, if you make them travel from the first round, they will be more tire, more chance of getting Hurt. Lots of variable come into play with why they do it that way.

I like 1 vs 16 but if that happened the next thing is people will not want conferences. A team with 82 points in 1 conference doesn't make it but a team with 74 points does make it and people go on about that next.
