    Doomers can kiss my ass. Watching the end of the season was awesome and this whole series was tight, I believe Roy is going to be a great coach on the island

    I believe the 5 on 5 goals was even for the series. The difference was elite special teams vs bad special teams, which a full off-season under a new coach can hopefully change

    I hope this is enough for management to recognize this core is done. You don’t have to rebuild but you certainly need to start an AGGRESSIVE retool this summer.

    Terrible season. See you all in October.

    If we had to lose any game, I’m glad it was game 5. We didn’t get eliminated at home and we didn’t come all the way back just to lose in an even worse heartbreaking fashion.

    Anyway, go Avs! Get Parise a cup.

    We simply just aren’t good enough. We need to blow it up. I’d rather suck for the next 2-3 years than live in mediocrity for the next 15

    As much as this hurt I’m excited as hell to see what St. Patrick does with this team. Next season might just be a good one.

    Easily the most frustrating Islanders season I can remember, and I’m glad it’s done. There are a lot of guys who need to not be here next season, starting with Lou Lamoriello. NYIsleism.

    They’re good but I can’t believe this Carolina team is the cup favorite at +400. I doubt they will win

    Series was much closer than the games indicated. Isles showed promise and structure at times, hopefully Roy officially has full buy in from the room going forward.

    Absolutely need to find a way to get faster in the off-season. I don’t think this team needs a full rebuild, but they absolutely need a retool

    I hope Roy can work some magic in the offseason. And maybe Lou can finally be replaced so the team can be properly retooled.

    Man that double overtime win was incredible. Glad we got to experience that. Tough way to go out with some rotten luck in the third period but it is what it is. Full season of Roy and a (hopefully) re-tooled Sorokin upcoming.

    Well we tried. 

    I think saying “if only [insert minor thing here, like “we started on time” or “we got more puck luck”] is a sign that we’re just an average team. Good teams can overcome those things. 

    I’m being serious though, can be proud of the effort the guys put in. And I’m still optimistic about Roy. But there’s a lot of work to do this summer. Hopefully it gets done.

    Idk man I know this season was tough to watch. But other than that 2nd game I was surprised at how the boys were able to hold their own against the most relentless suffocating forecheck in the league.

    Been an absolutely miserable happy roller coaster of a season. Excited for a full season of Roy.

    And since fuck the Rags ALWAYS wins out honk honk honk let’s go Canes for one round then they can go fuck off into the sun.

    Pulling for the Canucks now.

    Hopefully they all see some sports psychologists in the offseason and come back closing out games next year.

    For real though, proud of the effort this series. There will be some changes but i can’t wait for October. LGI
