The Kings were never going to get through this series, and complaining about officiating always feels kind of pointless to me.
That said, the Kings played well enough in two of their losses to stay in it and make it competitive, and both times the officials made terrible calls that swung the momentum of the game against them.
In conclusion: fuck Corey Perry and fire Rob Blake.

Is this what we’re going to do as Kings fans all summer? Pretend like it wasn’t already a 3-1 series lead where the Kings barely had won 1 game in OT and been absolutely dominated in 2? Officiating has been consistently bad and well, inconsistent for years. Every playoffs we do this forgetting its just rinse and repeat every single year.

The Kings lost the series 4-1. Only game they won was in OT. It wasn’t the penalties that made them lose the series, ask Drew Doughty. Learn to PK at a better clip than sub 50%. Both teams had bad calls against them, and missed calls on both sides. Kings barely scored any goals that weren’t lucky bounces. So many reasons the Kings lost that aren’t the refs.

But that doesn’t mean we can’t call out shitty reffing when we see it and get upset at how it affected the game.
Consistent, objectively shitty calls weighted in favor of one team over the other seriously ruins a game for me, whether my teams win or lose. It takes the enjoyment out of it for me.
I didn’t even expect the Kings to make the playoffs, so I had zero hope or expectations they’d make it past the first round. But seeing shit calls absolutely sucked out any enjoyment in seeing them go down bitch slapping.
