Ce n’est pas nouveau, mais pour une raison quelconque, cela semble encore pire cette année (surtout contre les chiffons). Je comprends, je les déteste, je déteste leur sale capitaine, je déteste leurs fans suffisants. Mais après le premier match, j’ai vu certaines des conneries les plus pathétiques de la part d’une base de fans sur les réseaux sociaux que j’ai jamais vues. Pas seulement des tweets stupides comme celui-ci (au fait, Shaun, puisque je sais que vous êtes ici ; Panarin s’est prononcé contre Poutine et nous avons environ 5 Russes dans notre équipe, et vous êtes aussi une garce d’avoir supprimé votre compte après avoir tweeté ceci) mais beaucoup de comptes de cannes se plaignent sans cesse des arbitres et sont généralement extrêmement doux en ligne et donnent une mauvaise image de l’ensemble de la base de fans. La pire insulte des fans de Rags est du genre « personne ne veut vivre à Raleigh » et ensuite quelqu’un doit se lancer directement dans une blague sur le 11 septembre. C’est vraiment ridicule. Oui, c’est une minorité, mais c’est une minorité très bruyante et malheureusement, lorsque vous êtes vu en train d’être un connard dans un maillot des Canes, ou sur un compte Twitter avec une photo et un nom des Canes, vous allez être considéré comme un représentant de notre toute la base de fans. Je ne sais pas ce que ce message est censé accomplir, d’autant plus que les gens ici font du bon travail en contrôlant toutes les conneries qui sont publiées, mais peut-être que si vous êtes l’un de ces psychopathes de Twitter et que vous lisez ceci, détendez-vous.

It was insufferable during the Islanders series and will be worse during this one. I have the philosophy of just sticking with the good accounts like Alex or Andrew and not reading the comments.

Remember that a lot of these people are chasing views. People say the most extreme shit just so they’ll get engagement, it’s how social media works. Civil is passe, extremism is the only way to get noticed – saying « your team sucks » isn’t good enough, saying the entire city should get nuked may get some replies.
So just ignore them, mute or block, and engage with earnest fans instead. Even bad publicity is still publicity, which is what they’re looking for. Don’t give it to them.
