Maybe I’m dumb, but I don’t understand the circumstances under which we get the 3rd or 4th overall pick.
My understand was we either win the first lottery and jump up to 2nd overall because we can only move up 10 slots, at which point the second drawing would be for the 3rd overall pick, or we win the second drawing and jump up to 2nd overall anyway. Cleary I’m missing something.

For #2: Flyers win 1st lottery (slotting in SJ at #1 and Flyers at #2) -OR- any team 1-11 wins 1st lottery and Flyers win 2nd lottery.
For #3: One of Pit (#14)/Det (#15)/Stl (#16) wins 1st lottery, Flyers win 2nd lottery.
For #4: Min (#13) wins the 1st lottery, Flyers win 2nd lottery.
For #12: no lottery win for Flyers or Min (#13)/Pit (#14)/Det (#15)/Stl (#16)
For #13: no lottery win for Flyers but one of Min (#13)/Pit (#14)/Det (#15)/Stl (#16) wins 1st or 2nd lottery
For #14: no lottery win for Flyers but two of Min (#13)/Pit (#14)/Det (#15)/Stl (#16) wins 1st and 2nd lottery
