Im sorry . I dont have any more faith for my Bruins. They're playingn like they cant waitbfor the series to end. Like they're content w a game 7 win vs Leafs and thats it! We were good this season! Beat fla 4 x.

Do I believe Lohrei will develop into top d-man and have a long career? Absolutely yes… Do I think the growing pains/learning curve will be painful, almost unbearable at times? Hell yes.
How can the Bruins and Panthers fans even hate eachother when the Rangers fans are acting like they've already won the conference? The atlantic beating itself to death only helps to make that a reality.
As a Panthers fan, it was extremely lame for the league to tell both teams to play nice before the game. I don't want it getting this rough in round 2, but let the teams handle it, jeez.

did we really think any thing different? really? florida is way better than toronto at defense/goaltending , and the are hard on the cycle…. im glad we made it to second round and will be happy if we win 1 more game 🙂
It’s sad when the fans bring more excitement and enthusiasm too this game than the team itself.
It’s pretty bad when Marchand is the only guy for the most part laying out decent hits and playing with any sort of physicality. Of course this Bruins team is nothing like teams of the past as far as physical play, but like you said, they had zero response.
Frederic’s “supposed” to be a tough guy. You could go down the line player by player. They are all soft.
I’ll give Florida credit, they play with tenacity and are cohesive, but they’re a bunch of fake tough guys too.
Man do I wish Thornton, Lucic, Chara, and McQuaid could lace em up against these guys

I missed the game. My eyes opened wide when you first mentioned lauko, thought you were gonna say he scored. Was let down by the penalty explanation.
That was the most down I felt all day. Had a feeling the game wasn't gonna go well so I decided to not put off more work.

It’s become a huge ongoing problem since about feb that the team only plays for 10 mins a night.
A distinct lack of effort tonight, I went back and double checked items I was mad about – like mcavoy giving up on a puck having had a 5 yard head start.
My “fave” Carlo getting dominated in 1v1 battles by the net directly leading to goals but will still be defended. 🙄
Monty putting forbort in the lineup over a cup winner with tons of playoff experience and able to somewhat QB a PP is just utter madness!!

The Bruins just have too many subpar NHL players on their roster. How many of today's Bruins would even dress for the Panthers? Swayman, McAvoy, Marchand, Pasta, Coyle, and Frederic would make the Florida roster. Zacha and Lindholm are a maybe, and given Lindholm's nervous breakdown in game 7 last year, I doubt Maurice would want him. Everyone else would either be scratched or on Florida's AHL team. They are just a better hockey team.
As for Monty, he did such a great job at the University of Denver and with the Dallas Stars, that I'm surprised he suddenly can't seem to coach in big playoff games. He played with an edge at Maine and in the NHL, but he coaches like kind of a sissy.
I've watched almost every Bruins game for the last 15 years, and most 15 years before that. McAvoy is injured. Can't keep his skates, pulls up when he doesn't dictate contact. Worried about that shoulder. But we really need to be talking about Zacha. If you balance skill/expectations, and past performance he's a problem. Bridge year indeed. We're on house money, but Zacha has been the f'n rake.

The Bruins give the puck away, on purpose. Instead of making a play, they chip into the neutral zone right to a Panther. Dump into the offensive zone with no support. Turnovers are one thing, but just giving up the puck on purpose is unforgivable. It's almost like they have a collective mind set of "Let's just play defence" .

It's just depressing watching the team i've seen choke and collapse since 2013 do it again man.
I want to have hope, and I'd like to still win the series don't get me wrong, but i just don't think we can do it…
When I played rugby, my coach used to say “there’ll be times where to can’t be the best team out there, but there’s never an excuse to not be the toughest and hardest working team.” I feel someone needs to tell this team that exact thing. I don’t mind being turned over by Florida, they’re easily the better team man for man, but there’s no excuse for the lack of fight they’re showing.
We have to pull an old school habs move and let them do their shit and take the penalties and beat ‘em on the scoreboard. We’re playing right into their hands.

This has been crazy to watch. As a long time b's fan it's hard. There have been many underdog teams in the past that have at least put up a fight. We all knew that we were in a bridge year and hell.. I didn't expect us to place where we did in the season. But I love looch.. and once the whole situation happened I felt gutted. Nothing in the playoffs will hit me like the night I checked my phone and saw what happened with him and his family. This team lacks a little bit of full team heart… we get little bits here and there but nothing that includes the whole team. I feel as though looch would have worn the damn b on his shirt on top of his heart. He would have rallied the boys by now. But that's not how life goes. I'm proud of our team and what they accomplished this year so far. If they are able to take it to the panthers and beyond so be it and I'll be here cheering them on every step of the way. But if they lose.. I'm still proud of them. Love these guys no matter what.
Monty's a great regular season coach, but not playoffs. Even if Boston had better players, there's a book on how to beat them post-season. He doesn't make meaningful adjustments between games or in-game. You got that sense when Toronto started following Florida's blue print midway with Boston when they all of a sudden Boston started getting 2 shots on goal in game 5 (1st period) – and this from a Toronto team that was built for run and gun (not defense) and injured. Boston didn't make any adjustments the next game with 1 shot on goal in game 6 (1st period). They could have easily lost game 7 in which they (again) looked practically the same in response to what Toronto was now doing to them.
Regular season they can look really good and they beat Florida all 4 times they played this year, but now, they're looking like an AHL team against them. I do think Monty's redeeming quality is self-awareness and being willing to add meaningful changes in the future to re-invent how he prepares his team post-season. Grant it, I wish he had more quality talent, but that's what every team says that loses. Their play is too undisciplined and inconsistent and their players appear to be out of place to make the right play, although I could see the argument that part of that is because of Sweeney's mishaps in drafting and inability to bring in talent to make Monty's system work.
Were a top 8 team in the league. But no where near top 4, not even close.

Bad ref calls are similar to how people feel about the electoral college after a US election. People only care if it negatively affects them, but if it positively affects them the majority of the time you hear nothing. There was so many bad calls against the panthers too like the E rod elbow, the high stick that was never called which directly lead to a goal, I could continue but the main point is that fans only care about bad reffing when it doesn’t go their way, and we should acknowledge that. I agree we should expect more and better from referees and there needs to be more penalties/consequences for bad refs/less union job protection that makes bad refs immune in most cases. At the end of the day, when you fall asleep for more than 3/4’s of the game it’s not really a call or two or even 3 that determines the game, a couple calls can go either way. Bad reffing has been a thing, it will always be a thing as long as the current structures remain, but we all know deep down that bad reffing has happened to both of these teams considerably in this series already. Panthers were the most penalized team this year so there’s no bias lmao let’s be real. I highly doubt the 1977 canadiens would have lost with even 6 or 7 bad calls against them

As a Panters fan i was pondering what are the rules anymore? Complaining about referees feels useless but so are they.. Boston did make the game competitive with 2 nice goals what kept the game clean. That was a blessing for the refs coz they where going to loose the game control just like in game 2..
