Have a great golf break you zany Bruin's.
Keep your eyes on their professional female counterparts, PWHL Boston is on fire right now.
Addition by subtraction when Gryzlyck doesn’t get re-signed. The one skill set he has you can find in Providence at ELC money, everything else is a negative
Don Sweeney is a good GM. His scouting department at the junior level isn’t the best per se but I think his NHL moves have been good.
The problem is they need a first line center. After Bergeron and Krejchi left last year they literally use their 3rd line center as their 1st line. The owners only go after defense man and goalies. This year they overachieved with what they had. The points they had this year is deceptive cause they lost so many games in overtime.
Great analysis on this!
Is it just me or are the playoffs fairly predictable so far? Other than maybe the Rangers series, no upsets and the reasons teams get eliminated feels predictable. This video brings it to mind, we all knew they lacked depth scoring and that's why they got eliminated.
Imagine seeing Marchand with a different teams jersey? If he leaves the B's for another team I'm flipping the fuck out Gordon Ramsay style.
How good or bad is the Bruins future draft capital?
Trade Ullmark, he's better then a lot of starters in the league, let DeBrusk go. Find a center for the power play with Pasta.
I actually didnt hate Wotherspoons play at all. I liked seeing him out there way more than Forbort.
Boston has good drafting and developement.
I can see a player like Joel Edmundson playing in Boston this year. He would help their depth.
hall and oats lolz
Sway carried us all playoffs. All imma say is if we played any other team besides the leafs(or caps) we would have been bounced in the first round. I would trade Ullmark for another Center and go all in on Guentzel this off-season
The rat losing again is lovely 🙂
Shannon Id have to disagree with your opinion on Grzelcyk, he was available the team just chose not to use him I think he’s taken a big step back this year.
On the topic of the point difference between Pastrnak and the next closest player this season, I don't think that's the issue. Last year, the supposed super team had a very similar gap between Pastrnak and the next closest player, Marchand. 113 pts – 67 pts. The difference is, there are 7 other guys in the 50-70 pt range on that roster as opposed to this season at 4. Anyway, the B's strategy with Pastrnak is a little obvious at this point. Teams know to guard the Ovechkin dot and that's where he scores a lot of his goals. Another part of the problem is that a lot of his teammates would rather make an unrealistic pass to him than shoot the puck themselves. Zacha and Coyle are the worst culprits.
I think the frustration with Pasta comes from some bizarrely low hockey IQ plays that he tends to make. Lots and lots of giveaways at the offensive blueline, for example. The no-look pass fails 9/10 times. The complaints about him would simmer if he cut back on these things. I think it's a fair expectation that he plays a little more defense, too. He's making 11 mil. That's too much for him to spend most of his D-zone time floating.
Great video. About the potential firing of Sweeney….. Is it on the table at least?
The lack of a #1 center. With an actual #1 they could’ve slotted the other centers to their actual levels. This would’ve exponentially increased their offensive game. The wingers are ok and their defense is good enough, especially with Swayman in the net.
How do we feel about an Ullmark/Marner trade?
I’m a Bruins fan and I’m excited for this Off-season. Aside from Swayman, none of their free agents are guys they must keep. I wouldn’t mind if they let Debrusk go, he’s too inconsistent for the money it’ll cost to keep him.
Trade Ullmark to free up 5 million and if the cap goes up by a couple million and they should have 20 million after resigning Swayman. They’d have money to bring in some scoring
