Love Treliving's answer on team play, build a team not a player. I also like his answer on Sheldon Keefe. I think Treliving will do great things, we will see if the high price players will buy into Berube's style and what he wants in a player.

Shanahan is lost and should be fired ASAP. The guy was too easily swindled by a child GM (Dubass) into a building a team of small softies. Now 8 years later he's had an epiphany?! Ditch that guy.
Also, nobody cares about your process to find a coach (that's your business), fans and media are only concerned about results. Don't be CONFUSED with what really matters.

Toronto Maple Leafs biggest obstacle. Mainstream media and the so called fans that follow the mainstream media. Your energy is ultimately the tipping point in a game that has never had such parity. Happy there were some decent questions in this interview, well minus the typical, regurgitated talk of the past which doesn’t exist anymore FYI. We all know Mainstream has great unchallenged power, but it would be great to get some people in those dressing rooms with proper, creative questions for a lot more of us to be genuinely engaged. I think for long time Leafs fans who watched Berube when he played back in the day there is something to finally cheer about. I'm excited that he is the guy. I remember Burube coming to Toronto after Philly. Tough af old school NHL'er.
I will miss Keefe, he was such a nice guy. Lets hope Berube will turn out to be a good guy and coach for the Leafs as well, best of luck and hopefully next years roster is better than this years roster. Looking at you Treliving lol, no more Klingbergs or Reavo like signings please. Everyone knew that was silly from the get go and would not help this team get to the 2nd round. I personally hope Marner stays, i'd love to see what he and Cowan can do together. He was injured and he's a magnificent player i'd rather have on the team than with the opponent. It's incumbent on all Toronto media outlets to LOUDLY announce our desire to acquire the services of Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid, by outbidding all offers once they become available. The coach has little to do with it. The Toronto fan base deserve superstar players that actually want to win a Stanley cup, are willing to sacrifice their body/health to accomplish this..unlike the current overpaid "regular season dynamos" that wimp out come playoffs, claiming headaches, or a runny nose..give me a break..the reason Gretzky, Lemieux, Orr, Howe, LaFleur, Bossy, Crosby are revered as the greatest players of all time is because of PLAYOFF success, not regular season, sadly the current lot of overpaid Leafs will inevitably be forgotten like all the other guys that never one a cup if they don't produce, and succeed in the playoffs.. As a life long hockey fan and leaf fan. What I have seen especially since the expansion era is the playoffs are insane. Favourites make first round exits and the teams who squeak into it win the cup or find their game. Let’s go oilers but I feel Florida under Maurice has the perfect team this year.
Well, lets hope this coach move gives a new start to a sad play off history 🍀.
Maybe also a new goalie like Jussi Saros could help there.

Is it the norm for Leafs management to not wear ties? I've never noticed that before. Every coach or GM I see usually has a tie.
