  1. He will be motivated to put up numbers for a new deal next year. Let him work his magic during the regular season and then move him at the deadline for picks or whatever plug ins they need for a playoff run

  2. DITCH da BITCH MITCH NOW – look …. YOU give ME a bucket of hockey pucks for Marner ……………………. I MAKE THAT TRADE – period – nuff said – AYE

  3. Everyone talks about the player having all the leverage – WRONG – tell the player if you don't agree to a trade, you will be sitting in the press box until you agree. The player and agent want a good final year (points) going into free agent talks. If the player isn't playing, you take away his points and ability for a good final year. The leafs don't need Marner to make the playoffs so the leverage is greater with the leafs than the player, as he sits until he agrees to be traded.

  4. As a Leafs Fan, Between Marner and Tavares, we are officially screwed for 1 more year before we can do anything. This will be the saddest year for the Leafs in a long time. Buckle Up everyone. Dubas really F'ed this club over.

  5. what a bunch of idiots…..the leafs lost round 1 by 1 goal without matthews and nylander and woll for critical games. nylander just did the same thing as what mitch is talking about doing and it went fine. this team is just about to hit its peak so ya toronto media….tell them to get rid of the stars in their prime…..just stupid reactionary bs

  6. Don't worry Tavares has him trained. Just play out this year then go to a team that you like so they don't give up assets and make more money, brilliant!

  7. Mitch holds none of the cards. Submit to be traded or sit for the year. If you wait until the start of the year or heck into august, you dont play.

Try and get a good contract after that

  8. Let him play out the last year of his contract and next summer offer him a 5 year contract at 9 million a season. If he rejects it then so be it. Use the money elsewhere. And stop saying "We can't lose him for nothing". If he walks you're saving 11 million a year in cap space. That's good compensation.

  9. Toronto Management gave these KIDS the f'ing world years ago. That's the problem with NHL, we yell about mistakes now but years later is when people cover it. They need to get Saros somehow out of Nashville, even if that means Nylander !

  10. How do we know the Leafs even want to move him? This is just the storyline from all the pundits…

  11. I said it awhile ago he is not going anywhere! he is going to be on fire this year and will make everyone look stupid for talking shit, but no one listened they all said he'll never play another game in the blue & white 😂

Then I hope he walks for nothing in FA and screws the leafs and us as fans over for using him as the scapegoat every year.

  12. Leafs screwed themselves 😅 with the contracts, and the toxic fans deserve this for singling out Marner as the problem
Mitch dosent help himself with his huge ego and Godlike comments

  13. Just by the changing style of play with Berube will make it more difficult for Marner to put up his usual regular season points. Marner would be smart to move along if asked. He can go somewhere and be a big point producing star.

  14. Who do you compare Marner to. Marchand? Pasternak? Panerin? Pavelski? Smaller point producers. Can he meet there game?
