1. In a world where his stock as a Defensemen and his KHL contract bring him down the board enough would love if the Blues picked him up if he falls that far. Seems unlikely he gets outside of the top 10 however.

  2. 207 lbs is hulking? He's tall but he's a flagpole. K'Andre Miller is 6'5" 210lbs and I don't recall him being labelled as "hulking." Heck my 16yr old is 6'2" 215 lbs and he's average size on his hockey teams.

  3. I wouldn't take him in the top 8. Maybe top 10. These big defensive defenseman types taken early almost never pan out as franchise altering guys. Look at Gudbranson. Or even guys like Erik Johnson while good aren't the type of players who end up being a franchise guy. This guy has buyer beware all over him

  4. That’s an interesting nickname…Hulking Defenseman. Mine’s Prototypical Power Forward.

  5. I have a feeling Silayev is picked by Anaheim as he is the type of player GM Pat Verbeek likes.

  6. This is a bit random, but one day, we'll finally see a guy come along who's as tall or taller than Chara. There's a bunch of 6'7" and 6'8" guys, but no one has ever reached 6'9"! Anyway, that's what's on my mind.

  7. It’s a tossup between Anaheim and Chicago and Anaheim probably wants him worse

  8. He's going to Seattle and I agree with your pick. Elite Prospects has him way late after having him around 7 to 8

  9. Huge potential top pairing defensive defenseman who can skate better than Zadorov and hit? He’s gone early. That’s got top 3 pick written all over it. Obviously, there’s the KHL issue, but more guys are coming over and it’s less of a problem. The fact that he’s young and isn’t getting as many opportunities to play there actually could be a good thing in terms of his upside. The main thing would be getting him over to North America ASAP so he can adjust to the style of play and the ice surface.

  10. What a draft year. Everyone of them looks good, but …they all have a big but. Someone on YouTube has every shift from one game posted, instead of highlights. He is a good skater, looks to have chase down speed, but like a lot of tall guys is awkward with the puck. Levshunov seems the opposite. Skating has bad first steps, but looks slick with the puck.

  11. I hope the Ducks pick him up. They have tons of offensive defensemen, they need a shut down/minutes defensemen.

Mr Hockey Guy… random video idea… why do teams give up on the big defensemen they draft… Chara, Pronger and Burns come to mind. All realized their potential, but all were traded by the teams that drafted them.

  12. Everybody says the Anaheim Ducks I hope not Cayden Lindstrom would be my pick. We need scoring.
