Oilers had to win that one. It's pretty much over now. Another year of a US based franchise championship in the books. I'm sure Bettman is over the moon. Maybe next year..maybe. Good effort Edmonton, you did very well to make it out of a bruising series with the Canucks, and surprised many in your victory over the Stars. At the end of the day, you were just too battle fatigued. And I'm not surprised that Florida is so focused. Significantly easier to galvanize your attention when you were just here the previous season and looking to make amends for earlier mistakes. Hardest championship to win in any professional North American sports league.

I only watched this highlight reel and, from this, it looks like Edmonton had more and better chances but they just can't put them in.
