I cannot emphasize enough how much potentially not having Barkov could have shifted this series if he was knocked out for even a game or two.
He was the one who discombobulated Bouchard on the 4 v 4 and ultimately found Forsling who found Reinhart for the opening goal.
He was the one with the final dagger in the 2nd period when we were just pouring it down Edmonton’s throat and sniped it past Skinner.
On a night where all our stars showed out, McDavid/Draisaitl finished ***goal-less***. Don’t ever take him for granted.

Excellent game by Barky, tonight he turned out to be the difference maker. At least visibly, he’s always an asset out there in ways that sometimes go unnoticed.
