Even in light of the Kings winning their 2nd Stanley Cup title (and in the process giving me one of my greatest sports memories of all time with Alec Martinez' series winner in double OT), I can't help but keep feeling choked up when I watch this one. Seeing the old Kings' footage with Rogie Vachon, the Triple Crown line at the All-Star Game, the Miracle on Manchester, young Luc Robitaille, and Gretzky's Campbell Conference winning goal, makes me realize just how long and frustrating the wait has been. I've been a Kings' fan since I was 7, a good 20+ years, and I was beginning to think I'd never see them make it all the way to the top. Now I've seen them do it twice in 3 years and I feel completely vindicated. I hope we can see your next title recap video in 2015 and beyond.
God I was at the game they won it all. Surreal. Was in the US Air Force at the time and bought tickets the SECOND we won the game 3 series. Was schedule for a mission and had to tell my CO, listen, I just spent $1600 on 2 tickets to see the Kings play for the Stanley Cup, and thankfully he let me go. I drove down to see the game and the rally and it was just all a dream come true for a Kings fan who started watching in 1999.
