I’ll do you one better. There are multiple Stanley Cups created every season and they actually carry them during the ceremony and keep it on hand, until the next team transfers ownership. Why? Because during a ceremony one year, a player dropped the Stanley Cup on the ice and it dented in a corner. They would let allow this to stand so they handed the team the other Cup they built. Second, when Chicago won, Patrick Kane took it to a bar and it once again, fell on the stage bc he was reported drunk or tipsy on the sauce….and it needed to be replaced.
Most ppl, meaning majority, don’t actually know the Cup they see, isn’t very old like it portrays.
