For me, I loved it when they added the black to the uniform for a couple years before ditching the yellow and changing the logo all together in '91.

The wild didnt exist till the year 2000. 7 years after in North stars moved the organization to Dallas. The only thing the two organizations share is the fact that they were in the same state
So I've started cheering for them this year and I would actually consider buying this. But I don't know who to get???? Normally I get the captains jersey first but well I lost him 😔. I love Dumba and Fiala but I'm nervous with the constant Dumba trade rumors. So prob Fiala. Ugh its so hard.

As a Wild fan, I love these. Already pre ordered mine with Parise since he's my favorite player and his dad played for the North Stars so it works both ways.
only thing I dont like it i wish they used the M logo on the front. make it even closer to the North Stars jersey. Plus I think the North stars had better templates than this one. The ones from either 1975 or 1981 would have been better! bit of a miss for me

Absolutely Love It. I was a huge North Star fan as a kid! The N might have been nice, but like you say, maybe the Wild don't own the rights??
Canucks first, as I am a Vancouverite, but the North Stars were always my second favourite, as I owned official home and away jerseys and hockey socks, green helmets, goalie and player pants, pennants and other various souvenirs
This jersey was the one I was really hyped for.
I’m in a weird spot with this jersey (exact same with the kings jersey) cuz I really love it but I’m not a fan of any players on the wild really and they’re probably gonna be sold out by the time I decide if I like any of their new guys
I like this jersey. but the fact that the river is yellow kinda bothers me… like if u were walking through the woods in Minnesota and came across a river of piss.
I like the jersey even though they’d already moved to Dallas when I got into watching hockey in mid 90’s but the only thing I would have done differently would be the logo on the crest. I would have liked it better with the “M” on the crest instead of the bear

The black on the North Star jersey was a later addition. This looks more mid 70s.

Not gonna lie. I think Green/Yellow is the best color combination for sport uniforms
The 1978 jersey this is based on looks a lot more like this RR jersey than the black-trim one you show. The late 1970s one has the green shoulders (though there's a yellow stripe bordering it) and no black. It had green numbers (which would have been a better choice here). The black-trimmed jersey you show was added in 1981, I believe.

I always wondered who owned the rights to the North Star merch as our hockey store has plenty of North Star merch in it along with the Wild gear.
As a Minnesota wild fan I'm so happy they did this. Wild fans have been asking and asking for a jersey like this. Its a great tribute to the north stars too
I like how Neil says he wishes that the Avs do something to honor the Rockies with a jersey and how it would be one of his favorites. Neil isn't that the jersey that the Avs use as a alternate already and it's already your favorite. Don't know if you were joking or not.

If anyone decided to switch out the WIld logo with the Subway Logo and but on the back "Eat Fresh" with the number 65 (found in 1965), that will be awesome and I will buy that.
Only tweak i would have is add a little black like the North Stars had. That's my only tweak I wished was different

I’m in my 50’s from Minny, hardcore North Stars fan, equally now a Wild fan. The reason us Minnesotans love the Stars so much is because they were taken from us, without consent, as it were. Norm Green, arguably still the most hated man to ever set foot on Minnesota soil
The Hurricanes can do the Whalers throwbacks because currently there is no team in Hartford, if there was they Probably wouldn't do it, partly because if Hockey returns to Hartford it would take back the whalers name. As far as I know the old defunct team logos and names are actually owned by the NHL as a whole, so the NHL gets final say. But logically it would make little sense for the Dallas stars to Market North Stars gear, as the North Stars have little connection to Dallas, other than being the old identity of the current stars franchise, the North Stars Identify is in Minnesota.
I've been wanting to get a hockey jersey and this is amazing and I know it's been a long time later but I wish I would've gotten it when it first came out
I always loved the Kelly green/yellow combo…wish the Wild did these as new team colors and got rid of the Christmas green/red combo..although it has grown on me some.
