« There is no need to look for a black cat in a dark room when it’s not there. » is going to become a part of my daily lexicon. It It is probably a poor translation of the Chinese proverb, but as a Slavic person, I can easily hear one of my older relatives say it that way.

Clearly they didn’t break any rules and on an unrelated note Medvedev has a bridge he’d like to sell you.

Lol that last highlighted line 100% sounds like someone who took a bribe vehemently denying it. Russians are the worst liars of all Slavic people. 😂

I think the Russians realize that it’s better publicity to let their better players come to the NHL. Even with the war. As long as Putin doesn’t care to stop it. Will be a big feather in their cap when Ovi breaks the goals record.

I’m assuming this is translated it reads really clunky. But basically they let him go because they felt bad for him after losing his dad so they want to let him pursue his dream in the NHL?

I get the sense that Michkov holds some leverage on someone. The statement clearly says that they were going to start him out on loan. He probably said F That! At which he dangles his nugget and tells them to release him. Out of respect because of his father’s passing seems like a reach. Just a hunch. Either way he is coming to Philly this summer.

And I’m ok with this, this was 100% what Medvedev was talking of months ago. Bring him over and let him make the team, it’s almost a forgone conclusion he will anyway.
