This opens a second buy-out window if they go to arbitration and get a result.
If a trade for cap space doesn’t materialise, Lou will just go to arbitration, get a result and you’d have to think buyout JGP.

The guy represented the Isles at the draft and missed his teammate’s wedding in Italy for it. Terrible optics on the Isles part if ultimately they buy him out. I can’t see that happening.
The hate for Lee on this sub is so fucking annoying. He was one of the best players on the team in the playoffs and is a carries himself very well with the C. If the isles buy him out, I’ll be very disappointed in the org.
Id be very surprised if they bought out Lee. But I was also completely floored when the Islanders fired Trotz, the best coach they’ve had since Al Arbour.
