I think the Woll gamble is a sound one to make.

Also keep in mind that the Leafs may bring Hildeby up and give him 4-5 games just to see what they got.. so long as they don't play him 10 games or more to burn the first year of his ELC. I know Leafs left themselves in a spot to approach the goalie situation in the manner they did. But Murray is an insurance policy, per say, and if he gets hurt then he put him on LTIR ( again) and pick up another guy for that 3rd spot

Woll is the guy if he can stay healthy. Stolarz can be a good backup. I’m fine with this goalie tandem. Murray is an after thought really because he hasn’t played in how long?

The leaves can makes all the changes they want….as long as the core 4 and most of the team has no heart and cannot step it up a few notches in the playoffs they will continue to be first round and out. Nothing will change…next season they will be bounced out of first round AGAIN!!!

If I'm a leafs fan (I'm not) I'm pleased to see Woll get pretty much guaranteed starters minutes because he's real good, but I'm also worried about the workload issue with his injury history already coupled with the fact that Stolarz has never played more than 29 games.
Signing a third goalie only makes sense if you are planning to run a tandem. We know Woll has issues with injury so they are going to have a trigger finger and send him on the IL if he has the slightest injury.
Woll needs to stay healthy…I am sold on him, if he is not hurt he is a quality #1 by his numbers. Just please for the love of God stop getting hurt!!! Murray is an Insurance plan for Woll. If Woll ends up hurt again the Stolarz and Murray tandem could be what we watch most of the year.

Woll will last 2 weeks because the Leafs for the life of them can't limit the number of 10- bell saves he's always forced to make, going side to side and blowing out his knees.
I don’t care anymore every year it’s the same thing. I’m full of hope they might do something. I watch every game to just get crushed in the playoffs again and again. I don’t know if I can keep doing this I’m 47 and just want one cup before I depart this earth.

Treviling needed to save all this cap space instead of assigning it to players leading into their 40s. Sign 1 yr deals and let this Tavares contract expire. Work on unloading on great defense and goalie if one doesn't come to fruition this year.

You sign Matt Murray that cheap because of Wolls' injury history. Stolarz will share the crease almost 60/40 with Woll if Woll can stay healthy for the 60%. Otherwise, it's 60/40 Stolarz.
Woll only has 36 NHL games under his belt. They needed MM after Wolls' latest back injury in the playoffs. You dont miss a game 7 unless it's either a legit injury or your goalie has no balls. Either one is a red flag for Woll!
It's the cheapest way to make sure you always have somewhat of a dependable goalie and backup each night, whether Woll is hurt or not.
They went out and signed Hakanpaa, OEL and Tanev to multi year deals past their prime(all over 30)[Signing Tanev @34yo to a 6 year deal is a head scratcher] because they knew they needed to put solid defensemen in front of these goalies. Morgan Rielly defensively just wouldn't cut it!
Imo, It's Wolls' job to lose to Stolarz. MM is nothing but a safety net for now. But I'm gonna pick him up in my dynasty league anyway to possibly handcuff Stolarz when Wolls inevitably hurt! 😝…
