@Blue Jackets de Columbus

1. Detroit. Stevey Y flubbed free agency badly, he's left holding a bunch of freed cap space. I feel with the desperation moves he's made the past two offseasons, acquiring Laine is right down his alley.

    Either that or I could see Carolina making a move for him. They have tonnes of good prospects, there is the Finnish connection, and they also had a bad few agency losing Guentzel.

  2. I would be surprised if he ends up a Hab, with so many prospects that need a look. A couple of years too early for this squad in my opinion.

  3. I’d love him, but it’s more like 2x2nd and Baron, and maybe Harris, but that be it. Cause they’ve been drafting forwards like mad and could use a couple good young D and Baron could use a change of scenery.

  4. Who really wants him ? He's got issues, he's s lazy, and his contract is for too much money. Maybe the Bluejackets dont want him back because what makes the most sense is to keep him and have him play decent hockey and, by the deadline, move him for a haul. Right now, his value couldn't be lower, and yet the team wants him gone. Laine is a flake, and any GM who takes him on risks looking like a fool and that outweighs thr odds he plays great, and you look like a genius.

  5. Only a team looking to fill-out their Cap Space quota will have any interest in this elite waste of time.

  6. 8.7m for a high risk player and they want picks and prospects? They better retain 50% salary at this price

  7. I don't think he's a Team player, he does his own thing and he has the talent to earn a spot. Not a Habs type player but he'll get another shot, best of luck to him, addiction is a hard disease to live with.

  8. Trade Anderson and a pick or 2, then sign him short term to feel him out,,, and if that aint enough then forget him he can go somewhere else

  9. Any proposed reason anyone could present to make Laine seem anywhere close to justifying that salary could be dismantled in seconds.

    I wouldn’t touch this fella with a 10 foot pole.
