Considering how well Cowan did in the previous OHL Season, Post Season and Memorial Cup, he's 100% ready for the NHL and was a true steal at the draft that no one other than fellow Knights fans saw coming

Not opinion, straight facts: the organization simply doesn't develop talent.
Tampa went to 3 cup finals winning 2. Their roster was stocked with their own players that they developed. The 3rd cup team still had 13 players from their system on the roster.
At the same time, Toronto developed: Morgan Reilly, Liljegren, and Woll.
Toronto drafted, then traded Verhaege for a bucket of pucks.
Guess who developed him?
Fans need to stop blaming core 4. It's the lack of a development system that has failed Toronto for decades.

Personally, I’m sad that Robertson wants to leave but in my mind it makes perfect sense. This guys hasn’t been given nearly the same chance that I think he deserves at this level and the leafs management won’t agree but I think he’s got the same potential as his brother. When he goes, this will be a big loss for the franchise

As someone whos gonna watch all 82. Id love to see Robo get a look at top line minutes (unless a team offers something ridiculously overpayed hes not leaving) Minten, and knies taking steps is welcomed. Cowan is the only one im unsure, id love him to come in and win a calder but thats not realistic. Hes too good for the O. Too young for the A and might not be good enough for the show. Exciting stuff as far as our pipeline is concerned. With guys like Grebyonkin, Hildeby and Artur Akhtyamov. Im super excited about our goalie prospects. (I know Grebyonkin isnt a goalie)

No one is talking about how important bobby mcmann was, and how much his presence was missed when he got injured in playoffs. I think he's a key piece that we don't wanna lose before he reaches his NHL potential

I’m sorry but I know we have Easton Cowan and other prospects coming up but im appalled by the complete dismissal of Robertson. This kid with lets time almost matched points with knies. He’s an absolute unit and I’m hoping the new coaching staff has something for him instead of stuffing him on the 3rd and 4th lines
Keep it the same get the young guys in some games, add a top 4 D at the deadline maybe 2. Sign Mitch 8×12, Johnny 3×4, Knies 5×5,

I'm curious to see how Berube's coaching style is gonna affect the Leafs.
Towards the end of his tenure Keefe clearly had no answers and was beholden to his stars.
No other coach in the league would allow a PP to go 1 for 21 and not make ANY changes to personnel or strategy heading into a game 7 with your JOB on the line.
Even an amateur like myself could tell they were using the same lazy drop pass breakout with zero speed every single time.
