  1. One things for certain, Minnesota will have the least amount of game excitement in the NHL. Boring hockey played in MN.

  2. Blue Jackets I’d say are definitely rebuilding at this point.

I wouldn’t put Vancouver or Carolina in top Contenders just yet.

Sorry Cunucks fans, I feel like they’ve taken a step back, but will still be a solid playoff team.

Demko’s health too should be a factor. He is a Top Tier Goalie WHEN healthy…

  3. I'll say Colorado over Edmonton in the West, New Jersey over Florida in the East, and then Colorado over New Jersey in the final

  4. You said Boston has had early outs every year since 2020, they still have more playoffs wins in that time than half the teams you put above them.

  5. I really, really don't want to have to say this, but Toronto's D is probably the best it's been in the last 4-5 years, at least on paper. I'm pretty confident they're in the playoffs and contending. Any G can play well enough behind good D, plus fresh voice behind the bench too.

  6. I like your channel but putting New Jersey as a contender over Boston is diabolical. I don’t get that at all. Dallas is not ahead of Edmonton either lmao pretty bad list.

  7. This is YouTube at its best. Just a Canadian guy doing a solo 20-minute one-take video with a continous stream of hockey talk.

  8. I've been a Utah Hockey Club fan for longer than I can remember and I think this is their year . Lets go Hockey Club.

  9. Canucks are preeee tenders most overrated team in the show

    4 top 6 players
    2 top 4 D

Did not replace Lindholm or Zadorov 2 main playoff play drivers.

Hughes still doesn’t have the right partner 5v5

Hronek is too concerned about offense to be the reliable D first partner he needs.

Soucy, Myers, Forbort and Desharnais are all 5-8th d on any true contender if they would even dress on Dallas, Rangers, Panthers, Devils, Preds, Canes, Avalanche…

Biggest collection of Pylons in the NHL

    Slow big and dumb

Bottom 6 forward has very good depth

But top 6 has 4 top 6 guys and that is if DeBrusk can be consistent, Hoaglander is a great energy 3rd/4th liner

Petterson is the most overrated C in the show, guy can’t even skate, forgot how to shoot, is basically an 11.6m powerplay decoy 😂😂😂

And if Demko is out any longer than 2 months this roster isn’t built to do what Edmonton or Nashville did last 1/2 of season

  10. If Demko makes such a difference then the team is not that well built to begin with.

Need good reliable goaltending, not goalies stealing you games on a nightly basis.

  11. Canucks took the Stanley Cup finalists to a seventh game with an AHL goalie. They were scoring around 3.4 goals a game all season. No one in Vancouver is nervous about the Demko injury.

  12. Why is everyone so hard on Vegas? They had an off year and were only a few points back. Still loaded with talent .

  13. Brave man, still a lot of talent in Dallas, but losing Pavelski and Tanev hurts. If NYR can figure out how to score when they aren't on the PP, look out. Better do it now tho cause Igor's next contract gonna eat a lot of space. And man, I was hoping you'd put the Leafs in that contender spot, but soon as you dropped Boston down.. I knew it was coming lol.

  14. I do really like the NJ team a lot I just don't know if I can put them over those other contenders because of experience. Great list, no issues at all.

  15. For the past 5 years, the Eastern Conference was represented by a team from the Atlantic. I guess an argument could be made that the Rangers would have an easier road to the finals, but they haven't made it yet. The Atlantic is still stacked and whichever team battles through the first two rounds is, to my mind, going to the finals.

  16. Hockey Guy You're Speaking My Language Rangers VS Stars Stanley Cup Final That Should've Happened Months Ago.

  17. Love your stuff THG! Been watching you since last year after about a decades long break in interest from Hockey. To me the Devil's being higher than Winnipeg is a little questionable. I'm from Jersey and ironically I'm a Flyers and Canes fan. But Jersey is just not consistent when it comes to getting into the post season and not being eliminated in the first round. I think it's gonna be a tight race again in metro for that wild card spot but we'll see how the year goes. Thank you for making great videos and I hope to see your Canucks in the post season

  18. I have montreal in the unknowns. But until they can prove it I can most certainly see the argument to put them in the rebuilding tier

  19. Can you do a video about the pwhl if you know a lot about the teams and players. I picked a team and wanna know what the competition looks like

  20. IMO Edmonton peaked last year and won't be able to get to the finals in their current state. McDavid and Draisaitl's contracts simply keep the team from getting the necessary depth to win a cup. Personally I think Vegas and Colorado in the west and NY Rangers and Panthers in the east are serious contenders for their individual divisions as cup winners. I think Montreal can pull an upset and go in the playoffs.
