  1. I know georgiev hasn’t played well at all, but not all of the goals are his fault. More than you’d like yes, but they were missing 4 top 6 wingers and Devon toews, I challenge any team to get that many players out of the top of their line up and play better

  2. Colorado has looked terrible. Yes, georgiev has played badly. The defense has been terrible too. At times the offense has been good, and at times they look lost. No excuse for that team to look like they dont know where they should be. There are plenty of reasons for them to not win, but 0 for them to look lost. There should be panic

  3. You know you're not an oilers fan if you think them going 0-3 right now is weird. The only guarantee with the oilers is high drama.

  4. There is nothing to worry Edmonton has Perry that means they end up to finals only to lose again.

  5. I'm not biased but Carolina looked like the most pure favorite to win the cup in that game against NJ. Total domination.

  6. Matthews Ovechkin Crosby Kane Mcdavid have combined for zero goals. Like they say in the Classic cult movie: Somethings going on! This is over A combined games total of 17 Games. Not one goal among them.

  7. I know for certain that the Oilers will make the playoffs. It won’t even be difficult for them. The problem is that they are anxious to be in the playoffs. They don’t want to play regular season hockey . it’s just a bother for them. They want to be in the playoffs!

  8. In terms of the Oilers 2RD situation. At the moment they're rotating the 2/3rd pair between Emberson, Stetcher, and Dermott.

In reality it's all a stopgap as they accrue cap space for the deadline to fill that 2nd pair hole. They'll have approx 4.8 million to play with if I remember correctly, which is enough to fit a good player and have one of those current 3 playing bottom pair.

Certainly the lineup just now is playing iffy, but its early and the good news is that J Skinner and Arvidsson are both looking very good at least

  9. The standings near the start of the season are usually weird and always meaningless. I doubt Calgary will be on top of the NHL for long. Oilers will be on top of the Pacific at the end. Avs will be fine.

  10. keep in mind that they are definitely still reeling from that game 7 loss. you dont get over that quickly. give them a few games to find their bearings.

  11. “Who could have foreseen the oilers starting 0-3?” Me! As an oilers fan who knows that Stu has started the last 2 seasons before this slow, the team has new players that need to build chemistry, and also this is literally just what the oilers do, I totally expected this tire fire.

  12. When Colorado won the cup and following off season lost a lot of depth and their starting goalie. I said it then and I stand by it now. Avs will never reach another Stanley cup without that same depth. Colorado traded away years of draft picks and signed their top guys. Now they don’t have a real goalie and paper thin depth. If everything goes right and they stay healthy they’re a 2nd round playoff team at best. Enjoy the cup because that’s the only one they’ll have for awhile. Better hope for a huge jump in salary cap so you can secure one or two goalies
