How many times do we concede a goal because we fail to clear the puck from our zone, seems like every second game we give up a completely avoidable goal by being too lax in our own zone. And how many times do we concede in the dying minutes of a second period, definitely last year it seemed to happen all the time. Nowhere near good enough. At least we saw Petey in the slot on the pp instead of standing at the back post or in front of the net, why pay 11 million for a skill player to take up a position he's totally unsuited to.

Well, when you get older, your skills do not decline as much as your physique. Stammer showed that, given time, he can still shoot the puck. Absolutely beautiful goals, but the Canucks cannot leave him like that.

Lankinen isn’t playing as well as he was, he’s showing some wear and tear for sure. We need Demko back, we can’t rely on our goalie every night. Passing needs to be sharper and simpler. We need to start playing better at home. This one doesn’t look good but I believe the Canucks will bounce back.
