  1. The way they were trying to break into the offensive zone was driving me crazy today so many chances for 2 on 1s blundered constantly. The Oilers defense was pretty aggressive on the puck carrier often leaving 2 Sens open against 1 defender all the player with the puck had to do was chip it by the Oilers dman into space take the hit and let his 2 linemates go get the puck and have a 2 on 1 but instead the Senator almost every time tried to hang onto the puck absorb the hit and make a play after which failed almost every time against the Oilers fairly physical and large blue line. Also the amount of time they were taking to decide on what play to make and shot selection was atrocious idk if they were being coached to be more patient or something but the way they were playing didn't look natural and was not flowing well with the game. Thats just the offensive side of the game too they were also on their typical lazy and not paying attention net front defense style we have seen far too often across the rebuild no where near good enough for a team that claims to demand a lot from themselves and be accountable tonight they looked like a team that doesn't care if they miss the playoffs for another season

  2. Why no one talk about the ref ? two game straight , kill the game when sens is about to raise
Give a 3 on 5 with a weak reason. I should say , I great ref , saw something which we need to use low motion to see

  3. > Opposition scores on the Sens with their first shot on net.
    > Goal comes in the first 5 mins of the period.
    > Sens score a goal but opposition scores within 1 minute afterwards.
    > opposition scores goals approx 2 mins apart.
    > oppositions scores in the last 2 mins of the period…..
Stop me if this sounds familiar.

It’s the same thing over and over in these loses.

  4. Too many bottom 6 forwards that have been completely invisible offensively. Can't win if our depth forwards can't put up points too.

  5. Just got back from Vancouver game against Rangers (for work). With Miller out, Canucks are a team that Ottawa should match up well with. GSG

  6. As a Habs fan it feels like we beat the Sens by beating the Oilers
I think we should probably get more points for that Win Monday

  7. Did you really expect anything different from this non team . I know let's hire tons of support staff and management that will fix it. I can see at least 3 players that don't have what it takes . Oh I know Tim will do it for us. Ullmark failing what now .

  8. Everyone is tradable. Timmy and Tkachuk are tradable if they have another lost season…

  9. Need to stay optimistic guys, just need to things going and some productivity from Pinto in particular.

  10. Hamonic has looked better away from Sanderson. LMFAO.
Current aged Hamonic is pretty decent. Perfect 6/7 right D. Great price.

  11. Just a giant sigh from me fellas. I was 26 when we made the cup finals. It was so exciting. We were so good and exhilarating to watch. This last 7 years has sapped my will to live in comparison. Can anyone seriously believe this shit is any better than recent years? I preferred the first couple of years of the rebuild. At least we were SUPPOSED to be an utter pile of dogturd and we could revel in playing spoiler whilst looking forward to good times down the road.

Well, these are, apparently, those good times. Desperately attempting to be a 500 club. And not succeeding.

It’s time to ask ourselves honestly: is this team, with these players, simply not good enough?

  12. One more thing I’ll ask everyone: can you imagine how amazing Timmy would be on a top team? That thought alone should show us how poor we really are.

  13. It’s plain to see Sens are missing top end talent.. if we had one or more Stutzles then I could see us being in the mix. Norris got paid way too much money. If you could swap him out for a legit #2 Center it would go a long way.

  14. 2 unfortunate things, no 3… Sens made Skinner look like a Vezina candidate, Sens didn't pounce on a team that played the night before, and didn't lock it down after the Stutzle goal and let McJesus do the pet peeve (score during the announcement). The Norris and Giroux penalties were not timely. It's bloody frustrating to be in year 8 of this mediocrity. On Ullmark – why the fk can't we have nice things? Seems like hockey gods are continuously casting a cloud of shite over this team. Anyway maybe it is the D. Need tougher and harder D like Lauzon and McNabb types. Big shot blockers and hitters. Chabot and Zub are steady but lacking in the pounding department. Our 5/6 pair are just on the rise. Ham is nearly done.

  15. Except for a couple of teams, the standings at the 20 game mark are basically the standings at the end of the season.

  16. Forget the panic button, it's time to walk away from this team and find a better way to spend my time.
