  1. For 7 years I kept telling myself the glass was half full with this team.. This November showed me that the glass has been empty this whole time and someone was just coloring the outside of it to make it look like there was something there.

  2. Much more sober take today boys – nice episode and always awesome having Cheryl I love her takes. I’m ready for the panic cast! Honestly if this team goes down the tubes it’s ok – I’m actually resigned to the fact that it’s either a major retool or major rebuild at this stage and at least it will be exciting. I’d like to give this ownership group their chance to start from scratch without all the ugly baggage of this core. I would not be upset rebuilding around Timmy and getting some high end picks for a few years and watching an exciting team like the sharks or Anaheim.

  3. I didn't realize how slow hammock is. He had a race for the puck twice last night and he got beat by a lot from a guy that was 15 ft behind him when they started. Brutal. They have to make him 7th defenseman now and not use him unless it's an emergency before a game and someone goes down.

  4. Why isn’t Pounder coaching atm? She always seems to be the most technically-informed and high hockey IQ analysts amongst the sports networks

  5. I don't want the Sens to be consistent. The most consistent they've been this year was that 5 game losing streak. The fans hoped they were a good team that sometimes shat the bed. But in reality they're a really bad team that sometimes have a good game.

  6. I'm at a point where when the opposition scores my reaction is "of course" and when the Sens score my thought is "they'll mess it up" There's no fun or even emotions in watching Sens game.

  7. The core is obviously the problem. Get rid of all the 8M players. All of them.

  8. They hired a coach that had a losing record. His results with Ottawa are just like with the Canucks.

  9. If you put Jensen with Sanderson who do you put with Chabot? Jensen is the best and only viable partner Chabot has had since Demelo.

  10. Brady is not as wonderfull as people make him out to be. When the the Sens left LA there where no apples left in the city because of all the turnovers he made. And yesterday he was jonesing so much for a hat trick that he kept tryin to score through the goalie's pads. Wasting PP time.

  11. Norris, or anybody else, can't do a one timer because no one on the Sens can put the puck in the sweet spot. Passing is a huge problem.

  12. I'd like to see a 10 minute over time with a rule change where you can't leave the offensive zone once you're there. Although they probably find a work around by "missing" a pass going back to the point or something lol

  13. Sanderson – Jensen
    Chabot – JBD
    Kleven – Hamonic/Sebrango

But make no mistake, Hamonic needs to be gone yesterday and RD is still a massive hole on this team. Need more forward depth as well. Yakemchuk can't be ready soon enough (I know it's still gonna be at least 3 years). Zub hasn't looked good even when healthy this year, his ceiling is probably top 4. We desperately need a top 2 RD and a top 6 stay at home RD.

  14. I hate the shootout didn’t like it when it came in and then with the extra point for losing never made sense.

  15. I simply cannot wait to see Cheryl Pounder as an NHL head coach one day!

She’s simply so smart and insightful!

  16. The depth has been such a big issue on this team. Gaudette has more goals than Pinto, Greig, MacEwan, Cousins, Amadio and Gregor combined. The top 6 has been fine, but there is simply not enough contribution. What has to give?

  17. Cheryl mentioned what I've been saying for the last few games put Jensen with Sandy for the love of god! Hamonic doesn't even come close to the amount of skill that Sandy has and there is absolutely no balance with them especially on the top pair and it's throwing him off his game. Sandy needs to be playing with a partner who moves quick, makes smart plays and not only forechecks well but plays offensively when the moment strikes and Jensen is it. They need to make some sort of change to that D core for this next stretch of games we need wins! GSG!

  18. As we have all known since early last year… they need 2 NHL quality RD!!!
It can’t be more obvious and it’s hurting the confidence of the rest of the team and their fans!!!
Stop sitting on your hands as the season slips away Staios!!!! FFS

  19. As far as I’m concerned the sens need to grow some balls it seems like every team just walks all over them!!

  20. Man playing hammer with Sandy has absolutely crushed Sandy internally it feels like. Why is it so hard for coaches to realize the obvious mistakes they’re making. It’s so frustrating.

  21. Not gonna lie, the positive spin zones are not hitting as hard these days… Love you guys but this team is garbage, plain and simple. November is now over and we are 29th in the league… We can spin all the narratives to find a little bit if positive but this season is likely over.

  22. Ok Sens fans, give your take/opinion on the armchair GM mock trade I propose 😂

    Trade: OTT – Giroux (C/LW) $6.5m (24/25) & 3rd rd pick (2025) to NYR – Kreider (LW) $6.5m (26/27)

OTT: Gets a speedy, scoring power forward with term and lots of playoff experience/leadership. No change in money in vs money out on the cap.

NYR: Get a defensively responsible C/LW that can score and also brings Leadership. Contract expires after this year which benefits them by giving them $ available for Shesterkin and allowing them to reshape their roster if they have another early exit from the playoffs. NYR currently does not have a 3rd rd pick in 2025.

*Giroux would need to waive his NTC. May be possible as NY is still somewhat close to home (1.5hr flight) and a potential cup contender.

    Trade: OTT – Norris (C) $7.95m (27/28), Sebrango (LD) $825k (24/25), 2nd rd pick (2025), 2 x 3rd rd picks (2026), and 1st rd pick (2027) to CGY – Kadri (C) $7m (27/28) and R.Andersson (RD) $4.55m (25/26) with 50% salary retained.

OTT: Core shakeup but still keeps center depth while adding veteran prescence and Cup experience with Kadri. Kadri adds even more grit to the team while providing some offence. Contract lines up almost identical to Norris. Similar faceoff numbers (Norris @ 52% career vs Kadri @ 49% career). Ottawa gets a solid right shot D that can play 22+ mins/game and handle puck battles in the corners.

CGY: Gets younger with long term 2 way play and offensive potential and power play sniper in Norris. Also get a young D with potential, as well as picks to help with a rebuild which is likely to come in the next couple years should their play/performance drop this year.

*Ott needs Calgary to eat some salary, and even then they will need to find a way to dump approx $800K in order to be cap compliant (put Gregor on waivers/send him down to AHL). Will have to overpay (hence all the picks) because of Norris’s injury history, as well as Right shot D are currently coveted by NHL teams.

    Result for Ottawa:
    Offence-
    Tkachuk/Stutzle/Batherson
    Kreider/Kadri/Gaudette
    Greig/Pinto/Perron
    Reinhardt/Cousins/Amadio
(3rd and 4th line players can be interchanged depending on what’s needed with play, injuries, etc)

    Defence –
    Sanderson/Andersson
    Chabot/Jensen
    Zub/Klevin

Lots of experience, size and grit now in the lineup (imagine teams dealing with Tkachuk AND Kadri lol). Greig can continue to develop on 3rd line. Pinto can move up and down between 2nd and 3rd line. Kreider brings speed to the line up. Defense is more solid and Zub/Klevin would make a great shut down pairing. I think overall it makes the team better, and this kind of trade is feasible.

  23. Sens are only out once the last puck as been dropped. As a diehard Sens fan from 96 I need these boys to figure it out and I think they will. This team is much different than last year already and it’s only been 20 games. This is our year if they play like the NY game we will be unstoppable. Keep it going boys you can do it. Love the show. Go Sens Go

  24. Yes , Sens have improved the process but have to still learn how to win. Look at Sens of old and they had all that talent and had to learn the same thing. It takes time and still learning on what talents we have and who can get to that next level.
