We were awesome tonight! Thanks Patrick. Cheers
Close game for sure, Oilers were better tonight! Great win! Ty Patrick!
That was a defensive zone error by us that lead to Tampa 's goal
That's a DEFENSIVE zone clearance was a bad error by us Thats why tampa scored
Sti playing like STU CAN
A very good morning to you Patrick and all Oilers from Germany! Big smile on my face now. Unfortunately I couldn't see the match live, but I saw the highlights on you tube now. Seems it would be a fast and nice game from both teams which made it very interesting to watch. Batman and Robin are phantastic, pushing the hole team to a very high level tonight, Skinner was also great as the hole team. We saw a Bouch moment but that's it. On the other side Vaselewski, what a goalie! Today Skinner was near on his level, but one on one he was more than cool, great performance man! We did important points tonight and I hope we are able to hold the level for more! Cheers and la Bamba again from cold Germany 🎉🎉
Luck bounced the oil way for a change. Bouch brain lapse cost the only goal but no one can play a perfect game. Bolts with a regular goalie would have been blown out. Kapenen with a big block. Solid win. Thanks for the break down.
Go Senators Go. Go Oilers Go.
Fan of Canadian🇹🇴🇸🇬 cities starting with vowels – Ottawa and Edmonton after watching NHL hockey since 2020.
Bouch again trying to get it out by going cross ice rather than up the boards. That's the 2nd time. When will he learn.
Don't forget Boston are coming -. I'd say the next 4 games. Boston however will be at the end of a very long road trip, which didn't go to well last night – perhaps by the time they get to Edmonton they'll just want to be going home. Fingers crossed.
Great to see the Oilers winning a tight low-scoring game.
Great game! Outstanding skill on both sides. Love to see more depth scoring. 97 and 29 can't always do it by themselves. Love that block by Kapanen. Holloway watch: 6 goals 5 assists in the seven games played since Mongomery took over as coach of the Blues. I believe he had the OT winner against Vancouver tonight. Guess he's giving the Blues some depth scoring. Sorry, couldn't resist. Say hello to Mr. 'not going to match' Bowman. In fairness I think Ken Holland is partly responsible for the cap space issues. Still, it's up to Bowman to find solutions to whatever problem comes up. He's now the GM. Great game, but we still need to add on defense and probably up front as well. We're in trouble if 97 and 29 are doing all the scoring.
Great win but my god Bouchard is so bad he literally could have went off the boards and out but he decided to shot the puck directly at 2 Tampa players lol man bench him !

Surgery still postponed so here are some stats. Again, I can't watch the games. What follows is my opinion.
Stats wise this was a very close game with little difference between the teams line by line. About the only thing is the Oilers had 3 more shots on goal than the Lightning and one of those went in (Leon shot the puck and the rebound bounced in off of a Lightning player past Vasilevskiy. The Oilers proved they can play D and they did it for over a period holding on to a 2 to 1 lead to win the game. Skinner was solid especially in the final 3 minutes when Tampa Bay pulled their goalie for the extra man attacker and Nuge took a penalty.
I can't really comment beyond this. I wish I could watch games again but until my surgery I can't and that keeps getting pushed back until now it's past Christmas so I just do the best I can and hope others find the numbers interesting. Youtube has been blocking these posts a lot probably due to length.
Take care all.
Nice! 👍
Thanks for the video Patrick

Some good hockey for sure. Still some mistakes being made but overall a lot better. The NO GOAL was a lucky break but the called back goal could have gone either way as well. Cheers
I think that it had nothing with whether or not the puck crossed the line. It was clearly batted down with a high stick when it was above the net.
They played a tight game and frustrated the lightnings offense for the most part.
If they continue with this level of play, another extended win streak this season is still on the table.
Great game guys go oilers
