Team can’t score. 2nd or 3rd line C is semantics. They’re trying to get the best C they can. This team doesn’t need a depth C, they need another threat offensively that hopefully isn’t a defensive liability. But most importantly they need goals. I have major reservations about ROR. But on the ice he is exactly what they need. Somebody that could relieve some of Kampf’s workload, but also chip in some desperately needed offence

The trade i wish would happen is Reilly and a pick to Vancouver for JT Miller and then Both Nylanders to the Rangers for Adam Fox ,it will never happen but i can dream

Realistically we need go after Bjugstad type of C. That is what we can afford. IMO spend some assets and go after Boone Jenner. He only makes 2.75M. He is just about to be back from injury

Id take ryan orielly back in a heart beat if he were willing to come..that 4.5 mil cap hit is very justifiable even if he caps out as a 50 point player..we’d have to shed some cap in the deal and give up some young talent. Im thinking something like robertson, hildiby, a high pick with in the first three rounds and another roster piece like jarnkrok would get it done

trading tavaress is a fools errand he just simply the best player on the leafs bar none.
taveres has more grit then most all other leafs.
