Oilers fan here… this sums up the reason we’re not winning a cup (best chance was last June). Simply too sloppy too often and skinner is not nearly good enough.

Bouchard has absolutely ZERO defensive instinct. No sense to just throw it out of the zone under pressure, no sense to get his stick in passing and shooting lanes, like literally the guy is defending a rush with two hands on his stick. These are such simple techniques that make defenders so much better and he just neglects to do any of it. You gotta think Edmonton’s coaches are gonna get on him about this because he clearly just doesn’t care or doesn’t know what he is doing.
