The second play is insane. It was so jarring watching live. Bouchard is still the closest player to the puck even after it's crossed his own blueline and somehow he decided to stop skating. I get not committing both Dmen to the forward in case of a big rebound, but in this case that should be eckholm. Shockingly bad defending here.

Perfect examples of why he's overrated. The Oilers are a decent team, no doubt, but aside from Draisaitl, every one of them is overrated for what they are because McDavid is carrying them. Nurse, Bouchard, Hyman… Heck, look at LA, the team Edmonton has owned for the last few years. Replace Bouchard with Doughty, Nurse with Clarke, and Hyman with Kempe, I guarantee the Oilers are better and LA is worse.

Wow. I thought only Oleksiak did stuff like that…up until this season. Thankfully, The Rig has looked way better, which may have something to do with him playing with Brandon Montour.

Pathetic play. He was probaby trying to clean up any rebounds on the second play nit with no other leafs around u gotta just hustle on that one.
I've been saying this for a while now that Bouchard is unreliable and more of a liability to the team. He provides next to 0 defence and when hes on offence he fumbles the puck at the blue line, fans on a shot, gets his shot blocked (90% of the time) and now he has no hustle for the back check. I really hope they get rid of him for someone actually reliable…
