I watched this the 1st time not realizing my ear bud was connected and couldn't see why there was a penalty then I corrected my issue and had to hear that abortion of a announcer. Maybe life without hearing would be better for me
It was legal, and hughes had the puck for a second or two. You would just think that someone who has been sidelined with injuries for half of his career wouldn't go head hunting clearly trying to injure someone, kinda pathetic of Pacioretty.
The worst part about this sport is how it always descends into skirmishes after a clean hit. If the player(s) aren't hurt, play on! But no, a teammate of the player who got rocked has to "send a message."

Even in slow-mo, Hughes barely gave the puck up before the hit… an attacking player can not stop and would be well, though the hit before he could even begin to let up on his hit. It's HOCKEY… this happens 100+ times a week. This commentator needs to find a soccer game to call. Leave hockey alone if it's too fast for you to understand or call.
