Wow – if I were a Leafs' fan I would be irate. How can you ever believe even the nature of the injury? A little pebble in his knee not structural damage – how did the little pebble get in if not from the knee structure? This is a miserable way to treat fans.

The Leafs have their best goalie depth in a decade. Trading for a goalie isn't needed. Hildeby had one rough start.

That sucks. I'm glad our goaltending has been pretty solid but he's our best goalie so it's most unfortunate.

Honestly, this may just be a blessing in disguise.
Between stolarz and jarnkrok it's around 4.5 mil that can be weaponized.
Hopefully the leafs weaponized this, maybe grab the 2/3 C that has been needed to tie the room together.
It could very well be that by February there will be more injuries and more juggling will need to be done. But this could lead to a juiced lineup come playoff time. Let's see what happens over the next week or so
