It's not the defense it's those lazy forwards not coming back … Mika , Krieder , Lafi , Bread men , and fox is slow and overrated

I’ve seen enough from the Rangers’ defensive scheme. I think it’s been scouted and decent teams know how to beat it (by getting the D chasing behind the net and putting the whole unit in a spin cycle). At this point, just let the offense possess puck down there and take away a high danger pass to the middle of the ice. it can’t possible lead to WORSE results, can it?!
That is the best breakdown of why their rush/in zone defense is so bad that I've seen. Thank you for that. I'm curious to know if these are errors that come from overthinking, not being precisely engaged, brainfarts, lack of effort, etc…
Guess they gave gure you don't lose 50/50 puck battles if you don't get in any, many player, not just on the rangers do half-assed checking, they like cruise and circle, forge stopping, it takes too much energy to get back up to speed, it's all about hustle, if you out work and out skate the other guy your chances go up.
