i hope Nylander's back doesn't hurt to much after carrying the team all game
Another slow start which happens too often with this team, no speed or intensity. Woll wasn't great and the forwards didn't do much in either end of the rink. They didn't deserve the W..need to be better!
Just an ugly game by everyone except Nylander. Defensively, the team looked like Keefe's Leafs. Not much time to rest. 2pm start on Monday.

They didn't address the top line for today's game to compensate for Auston Mathews so it would only be natural for Nylander to carry because his line is the next best.
In my opinion Nick Robertson should've been given a chance with more ice time today to prove himself as a replacement while Matthews is out. Him and Marner are young, fast and with Knies being the big guy intimidation.
I don't blame Woll for that game. The Islanders had some crazy lucky bounces go there way especially in the third. On top of being bad defensively they looked completely gassed.
Pretty pathetic defending all month. Pee wee teams get yelled at for not identifying attackers from the blue line, I don't understand how an NHL team can keep making that mistake over and over and over again.
The defensive box out style was no where to be seen. Come on!!! all those two on ones.
