Honestly you don’t even need to have watched this game to know lalonde needs to be gone and defense is an issue.
Seider: "We can't pay attention to standings right now." Veleno: "We're obviously behind in the standings." Can we get a coach that at least gets everyone on the same page
I know that in the history of the redwings a coach has never been changed mid season…but please, please move on from Lalonde earlier than later. No reason to try and save face…thats long gone, get a guy in who can make this team play to their capabilities, cause these players are better than this.
I feel like Newsy knows that the writing's on the wall….he's exasperated with this bunch. Such a group of underachievers. No fire.

Holy hell, without Edvinsson this team just collapsed. Got worked by a bottom feeder team…. absolutely embarrassing. Lyon is cooked as well…. Every time I look at who Yzerman signed last offseason, I am shocked by how bad he missed… nobody he signed, other than Kane, is producing at all….
Lalonde should be fired immediately for what he did tonight. The players will not play hard for him again this season. You have seen the last of the real Kane after the garbage this guy pulled tonight.
Sick and tired of watching a team like the Wings who pays its players an average of millions of $'s and they're losing ridiculously to their opponents regardless of where they play. Don't like it when they celebrate the few goals that they barely are able to get passed the opposing net. It's like, "What the heck are you celebrating. You're a team with one of the worst records in the NHL. I have criticized Seider more times than not, because i still don't think he's worth the 8.5 mil $'s a year on a team that can't even play with a .500 record. Just totally disgusted with their play, in general. It's not just Seider, it's Raymond, Larkin, and several others making millions of $'s per year and are not held accountable for losing. Like i said, personal stats mean nothing unless your club is winning. If these players want to be multi-millionaires, they need to not only play like professionals, they need to win because if you're losing games, your marketability as a team should be trashed. The fans are the reason why these players have their millions. Once it was 4-1 Habs, I turned it off. It isn't worth watching these guys play such a sub par team horribly, especially when they're raking in that cash they don't deserve. Too bad Wings management couldn't sanction and reverse those salaries when they lose games.

I'm not normally one to care about coach speak, but hearing the same kind of "we only gave up X number of chances" and "yeah we need some traction" and "I told the guys to build their game" at this point is not inspiring. I don't know what Lalonde should be saying, but his job should be in jeopardy at this point and maybe he should realize that his approach to coaching this team isn't working.
all he had to do was leave Copp Cat Kane as the 2nd line every shift and play them as much as possible w Seider's d pair. that's all he had to do. and he couldn't do it. i knew he would do what he did but watching him actually do it was just disgusting. like a slow motion car crash. and the team quit immediately when he did it.
Everyone not named Larkin, Seider, Raymond, and Edvinsson should be on the trading block. I’m not typically on the tank bandwagon but this is too much. And then they go to Montreal and lose 5:1
