I'm very, very curious about what teams know about Kevin He. Maybe two weeks before the draft, I started seeing people mentioning he might be a 6th or 7th round pick. By the time we hit the draft, he was expected to go in the 5th, and the Jets took him in the 4th. Now he's already signed a contract. He's still 18 (on Puckpedia, it looks like everyone else who was picked after the 3rd round in 2024 and already signed is over age). I wonder how long he'll stay in the OHL for.

Honestly as long as the Leafs make the playoffs with a healthy goalie tandem of Stolarz and Woll I really like our chances. This team feels different this year, regular season placement be damned, no one cares about an Atlantic division banner.

Just a small clarification about Kevin He being the first NHLer born in China. That honor actually belongs to Rod Langway, who was born in Taiwan, that both the Republic of China (capital Taipei, known as Taiwan) and the People's Republic of China (capital Beijing) recognize as being part of China.
