    I was so pumped to see him lift the cup.

    Of all the places he's coached, Winnipeg really seems to have left a mark on him and the city loves him back.

    As much as i love Paul…..he tends to be exceptionally kind in his remarks about thenWinnipeg Jets….a team he coached for the better part of a decade and then left them ala Buff….just walked away from them leaving them to scramble. Now and maybe out of a sense of obligation for his sudden departure. perhaps he tends to be " generous" in his Jets analysis and commentary….perhaps just a bit albeit he does make some astute points about them as well. He pumps their tires quite willingly so, I'll take his comments with a wee grain of salt….LOL!
    Still love Paul though….

    I am an Oiler and I hate the Panthers, but when I hear Maurice speak, he strikes me as BY FAR the most intelligent trainer in the NHL. He strikes me as if I listen to a University teacher, whereas if I listen to Knoblauch given interview answers, it is a 'no-content' answer like 'eh, ahhh, eehh, I think we played well, we just have to put the puck in the net', his answers are EMPTY. Hence, the strategy that he gives players at hand to play, shows in the naivity of how the Oilers play (despite huge talent) vs, how the Panthers play with less talent. That is the (for me) sad reality. And with a brain like that behind the team, I would not be at all surprised that the Panthers take the Cup again!

    Nah, I just re-watched. Maurice said "If I can have one thing more, it's for the Winnipeg Jets to win the next Stanley Cup," and not the Cup next, as he wishes he had said.
