@Flyers de Philadelphie

1. It's sometimes so hard to listen to Adam, because his point of view often is so … lets say different…
I agree with Jesse here that it was exactly the right call and I agree with Steve that its a funny coincidence how Torts seems to be a magnet for these kind of things…

Also I think 2+2 Refs are a good thing because it gives more security to on-ice plays, especially in those sped up times . (Quality of Refing is another topic)

  2. making a report about Tortz getting angry about something is like a weather man making a Forcast about the Sun rising

  3. Imagine Detroit scores on that 2-on-1 and not only does the goal count, the Flyers are assessed a bench minor for 2MMOTI. Just imagine the quotes from the post game presser from Torts?

  4. Torts goes on 5 minute post game rants if a ref or coach coughs in his general direction.

  5. It was inconsequential. Flyers are a bad, poorly coached team that gave up 6 against a mid at best team. Highlights show 4 goals against on bad line changes, terrible giveaways (things that don't happen to well coached teams). Torts sucks at his job but continues to fail upwards through funny soundbites, ripping the media, then becoming the media, then ripping the media again. He's a POS

  6. The too many men was based on a wrong call that didn't exist…so there was no reason for a penalty. The linesman made a mistake and the flyers reacted to a mistake so the right call was made.

  7. That was not the linesman with his hand up, that was the back official. One linesman is standing by the penalty box and the other is hopped up on the boards by Detroit bench. So, the referee screwed up, there is an epidemic with how officials are brought into the NHL that is not talked about, and you see a lot of mistakes that shouldnt happen. No, linesman cannot put their hand up and call a penalty, they can report too many men or a major if it was not seen by the two referees but that's it. That is a grade A f*up by the back official.

  8. The passionate debate between Jesse and Adam while Steve is silently dying is some low-key comedic beauty

  9. Don’t let this distract you from the fact that Laine has 75% of Matthews goals in 1/3 of played games

  10. You call it a linesman, look where the 4 officials are positioned. The Ref at center arm raised. Same side a linesman at the blue line. Other side deep face off circle 2nd ref and in the penalty box circle 2nd linesman.

  11. That buffalo goal called back on the high stick no one saw. That was unreal

  12. Omg this was SOOOOOOO painful to watch.

JESSE, THE WORD REVIEW IS NOT EXCLUSIVE TO VIDEO REVIEW. ITS ALSO JUST… A WORD.

100% with Adam here. It is not difficult at all to understand what he's talking about. Either Jesse was purposely being brainless, or…..

  13. The biggest problem i had with this situation was the ref went to Torts after and said he didn't raise his arm all the way up.

  14. The dude on the left is a idiot. I’m sorry. What a stupid ass take

  15. Can confirm that is in fact not a linesman who put his arm up it was a ref with orange arm stripes and you can tell by the positioning of all the on ice officials

  16. I so clearly remember the Columbus game Steve is referring to.

Feb 6, 2021 Carolina scores a goal. Torts challenges for offside. Review determined no offside, goal stands, Jackets get a delay of game, but the final 1:15 of the 2nd period goes by harmless.

During intermission, Toronto and the replay booth finally unf*ck themselves and the Jackets are told their challenge should have been successful, the play WAS offside, but not every angle of the play had been reviewed before the call was sent to Columbus. And pursuant to Rule 37.2, the goal could not be taken off the board because the puck had been dropped to resume that final 1:15 of the 2nd period with Carolina on the power play.

Columbus ended up losing that game 4 years ago, just like the Flyers did.

  17. Players make mistakes every play.
When you give the puck up, that's a mistake or a bad play.

Refs get to make mistakes, discuss it and then make a decision. Wake up.

  18. If you actually watch the clip with the REFEREE (not linesman), his hand goes up and straight back down. He also motioned to the Flyers bench to hold but they STILL sent a guy out when the referee's hand was clearly down for at least 2 or 3 seconds. It was bad team management decision, period. There is no possible way for the goalie to get to the bench and a player onto the ice in less than 1 second. Referee also motioned to the goalie to get off the ice. Tortz crapped the bed instead of accepting he erred. Go watch the clip. Hand went up, then straight down. The Flyers had no excuse besides stupidity. They messed up. His team is not making the playoffs and he knows sooner or later, his job is on the line.

  19. What’s the name of this channel, is it called three clowns? What morons.

  20. It took me a minute to understand Adams argument and it felt like he was just phrasing it in a very bad fashion and then he just started making a different argument

  21. 15 seconds in…. guy dont know the date of the game. dont know the name of the ref… boy this seems like a great podcast

  22. When torts was in Columbus, there was a game where the clock wasn't reset proprely, that cause a goal, Columbus loss in the SO AND Columbus goaltenders got injured in the SO.

  23. Adam is 100% right. Jesse wasn't understanding. Why do some teams get the call fixed and others get screwed. Consistency!! Fairness!

  24. 3:42 yes likee one ref calls a guy for tripping then a other ref wnd the lineman are like no bro he trippeed over his own feet kk no pen

  25. I was at the Detroit game and we didn’t even know why Torts was mad because we were so distracted by the aftermath of the fight in the crowd between two guys and the lca security.
