Losing 5-0 and only getting 12 shots on net the whole game is unacceptable in the NHL. This game spoke volumes about where the Rangers are currently at as a team. Rangers also now share last place with the Islanders in the metro.
Just a start, though.
The team that just months ago won the Presidents Trophy and had a deep playoff run is now the league pinada. Bottom feeders see us as food.
A scoring drought has now taken over for a soft defense as the worst problem… of many.
Maybe Santa can bring us a Bergeron or an Yzerman
Can they trade Chris Dreary? He is terrible, he has demoralized the whole team without fixing any of the issues the team has had for years, an underachieving entitled core that quits when the going gets tough.
The lack of spine on this team makes me want to root against them , i have literal disdain for a bunch of players on this team , thats something new, and it makes me sad.

Why do people continue to blame Drury(he might be asshole) but he is not playing. These guys are professional players, they should be able to deal with trade rumors is part of professional sports. To me they are bunch of pussy. They should used those rumors as motivation to make the decision to trade them hard. But right now if I was the GM I would trade almost all of them. And start a rebuild.
Every single player on this team has given up…Lindgren and Miller are the final two disastrous pieces that need to go. I think Mika and Kreider can turn it around but Lindgren and Miller are utter nightmares for this team. I am firmly convinced that they whole team has chosen to not play well.
Lindgren has never been a top 4 d man that’s the biggest delusion of the rangers fans and organization he is honestly awful he had a few seasons where he blocked a lot of shots on the PK that is it he’s undersized a bad skater gets hurt way too much and easily and he is a black hole in offensive zone and kinda the defensive zone too

The organisation must decide whether the Cup window is closed.Most observers would conclude that it is.
Once this decision is made Drury needs to honestly identify the team's shortcomings and positives and set about compiling a squad that accounts for these two factors He then should seek players that will reset the meter on what is required to be a New York Rangers.It is blatantly obvious that this current team are at times overpowered by hard forechecking opponents and that team toughness is not the equal of sides like Florida.
Non performers should be held to account either by demotion to the AHL or shipped elsewhere or perhaps bought out.
Past performance is irrelevant players are being paid for what they do now.
The notion that Kreider and Zibanejad can contribute next to nothing until their contracts expire sets a terrible example for the rest of the team.This is evidenced by the recent dire performances of so called stars
I've had enough of watching this dross and would rather the team acquire a new identity the fans can get behind long term.

Players are feeding him the puck but all he does is wrist it to the corners and as for scoring that's a no no he is not a scorer. this year we can forget about a playoff spot they have to build with bigger players that at least have 8 years before they hit 35 years of age. I also have noticed the lack of pride in the teams play and one that is noticeable is an increase icing the puck and the misplays at their end.
Get some size, grit and toughness and change the culture of the team being soft. After 100 years of failure you would think someone in the organization would say lets try something different.

Trying to figure out reasonable trading options in a Zib trade. Huberdeau, Dubois and Hertl are names that should be considered.
100% agree. Trade him for a jock strap, I don't care. Hopefully we gat a draft pick. I don't care if it just a 6th or 7th round. It's clear this team exited rebuild mode way to early, so start getting those draft picks.

Trading a few players won't change the culture. When a team plays this poorly, there is only one thing to do. Fire Drury & Laviolette & bring in a new hierarchy. Drury is President & GM, so is he, as President, going to fire himself. Dolan doesn't give a crap about the Rangers, but only he can make the radical changes needed. Sitting this guy & that only serves to alienate players & destroy team morale. The players don't know what is wrong & seem so down & out. It's the coach's responsibility to figure out what is wrong. Bring in Messier & give him total freedom to shape a new team.
I think Lindgren is trying his best but too many injuries leads to inconsistent play, which is what it has been. He is also burned out by playoff time and in the middle of a series because of the intense playoff style of play against bigger and stronger opponents. Trade him while there is still some value, he may do well for another team but for NY we need some bigger guys on defense who can take the workload, dish out the pain instead of taking it and not burn out when you need them most.
All the RFAs should go. Built back the picks we have given away and head into the draft. A better player personnel/ head scouting would be nice considering our lousy record at the draft and development . 🏒🍸

Really Drury should have revamped the back in the summer make the necessary moves then and come to training camp stronger and less vulnerable Drury failed and needs to go perhaps lavie has lost the room as well cannot believe I have been a Ranger for 67 yrs and now need to see this disaster!😢
The best trade the Rangers could make is to trade Drury for a used goalie mask if you can find anyone willing to take him.

Lindgren is hurt too much to get anyone of any worth for him. If you can get another middle of the road defenseman who is healthy I say let him fly cause anything is better than an “empty uniform”.
